Say, for example, we have a company that operates in two countries (A & B).

Country A:
Computed Weighted Average Cost of Capital is: 10%
Market Value Cost of Capital: $10,000*

Country B:
Computed Weighted Average Cost of Capital is: 12%
Market Value Cost of Capital: $10,000*

* The weight distribution of all sources of capital used to compute the Market Value Cost of Capital in each country is identical. The total Market Value Cost of Capital is identical in both countries as well.

Any suggestions on the approach analysts typicaly use to compute the the overall company weighted average cost of capital would be greatly appreciated.

Serious replies only please.

Suddenly they stopped my ad and when I called them they told me that I would never be able to advertise in my life with them because of difficulties in receiving payment with other account. I asked them to give me a chance to make the payment but they said they would not give that chance. I have never heard of any business doing that to a customer. I probably owe less than a $1000 and have contastly spent over $10000 a month. What is the reason they are doing this ? Can anybody help me get out of this? I need to advertise with google because thats my bread and butter. They never even e-mailed me asking for payment, I had tested few different accounts before I went full fledge with google I did not know they would eventually do this. They stopped my ad just 1 day before holiday sale season. I bought bunch of products to sell and now I cannot advertise. I am very sad what do they have against me that they wont even allow me to make the payment for the balance and continue.

Joe D. owned and operated a general construction business. He recently was successful in obtaining a bid to build a new athletic facility. Although his company could do most of the work, he needed to hire other contractors to do parts of the job, such as cement contractors and welders to lay the foundation of the building. He selected Cem-Steel as the subcontractor to lay the foundation and the steel work. During the cement work, Jane Sprint, an employee of Cem-Steel, was hospitalized due to the large number of cement particles she had inhaled. Her employer,CemSteel, had not provided protective mouth masks. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) cites Joe D. for violation of its regulation about protective gear requirements.

Staffing and retention are major issues in service industry businesses today. These issues are especially serious to the service industry for two reasons: First, the industry doesn't have the excitement of the high-tech industries (even though many have now fallen on hard times). Second, the number of employees between the ages of 25 and 44, traditionally the main part of the employees in the business, will continue to drop.
Under this situation, how does the service industry not only recruit new talent, but protect the employees they have? Questions about payment, training, incentives, benefits and work environment will therefore become more important.

Questions:

1) The author says the service industry is unexciting.
A True
B False

2) Most employees in the service industry are over 44 years old.
A True
B False
C Can't tell from the text

3) In the last paragraph, talent means___.
A employees
B environment
C business

I think the right answers are:
1) B
2) B
3) A

Am I right?thanks
