It is sad to see more and more Japanese made cars on the street--I blame the oil companies because if gas were low you and I know we'd be driving a safer SUV. A small piece of Americana is being threatened--at least our local, state, and federal government buys American autos.

In the past we have helped out Boeing, Halliburton, Alcoa, Lockheed Martin, Exxon, Airlines etc. Don't get me started on pick-me-ups to our state-owned companies like USPS or Amtrak.

Foreign companies don't have to worry about unions and unions are good because we want our fellow brethren to receive an adequate wage.

specific duties of a manager

2007-11-24 15:29:39 · 3 answers · asked by jc_apit 1

I have been going back and forth with a dealership on a specific car I like. We have been talking terms and actually came to an agreement that I was really happy with. Here is the last email:
Here is mine to "Jeff":
"OK.... lets run the numbers:
My 2004 Kia Optima, blue, in good condition, about 32K miles, payoff from Chrysler is: 8537.50.
The 2007 Mazda 5 Grand Touring @ 16999 + tax, title and tags.... can we get out the door for 350 a month, 72 month loan? "
This is his response:
"Janice, as long as I can get at least 6k for you trade from the boss, we can get to 357 per month. If you come in this weekend, I'll try for more, so you can get to the 350 even. Let's make a deal. Thanks, Jeff."

The problem is that I went down and he brought out a "sport" model and I said no, we talked about a Grand Touring model. In the end, they did not honor the email and I am mad. Is the email a written agreement? Do I have any recourse?
Thanks for any help,
Janice

I need a database (XLS, CSV, etc) of all ISPs (Broadband and Dialup?) in the world with their subs, addresses, management(?), etc. Whatever data points I can get. I need to load into my CRM system.

Love to get as much data about them as I can, maybe CEO, etc.

Or some variation of this to save us having to go pull it all.

This is a business request, not a consumer request (net, I don't need to evaluate what ISPs I can get home broadband).

Anyone know a source for this data.

A President and CEO of a company emailed me that he was impressed with my resume and asked me to come in for interview. So I did. He told m that out of around 100s of resume, my resume was one that attracted them. During the interview, he asked me, How is my computer skills. I said I am okay, good enough. He asked me what is my salary level desired. I told him whatever you posted on the website. That was just it. Then they asked me if I have any question. I told them not really and I told them that I would ask question as I work for them. If they liked my resume but they didnt ask too much question during the interview, will I mostly like to be hired? if you are boss what do you think? Any interview experiences?

Assuming subsidiary has:
share capital $1,000 (100% owned by parent)
loan to parent $2,000
retained losses $3,000
Company goes through formal liquidation with loan still outstanding (no debt forgiveness beforehand). What happens about capital on liquidation?
Is the loss in the parent just the write-off of its shares in , and loan to subsidiary?
I can't seem to get my head around this one so any help much appreciated!!

My husband has a few things on his driving record that are keeping him from getting hired at quite a few companies, despite the fact that he has finished truck driving school and acquired a CDL. They are just minor things...2 accidents, (only 1 that he was cited for) and stuff, and they were 2 and a half years ago, but he is still having trouble. So far every company he has applied to has turned him down. Does anyone know of any companies that would "overlook" these discrepencies and hire him anyway? Any ideas would help!! Thanks everyone!

I have this accounting case due tomorrow and my group and I are really torn about the answer to this question. Under LIFO the inventory was $950,000. The company estimates under FIFO the inventory would cost $1,250,000. An appraisal value of replacement inventory says it is $1,200,00 (whereas the net realizable value of the inventory would be $1,300,000 prior to the 10% sales commission that the Company pays on all sales) The company would like to know what amount of inventory should be reflected on the company's balance sheet and whether this would have any impact on the company's other financial statements.

For example, if the CEO of McDonald's stops by a franchised McDonald's to get something to eat, and he saw an employee use foul language towards a customer, does he himself have the authority to fire that employee, or must he contact the owner/manager of the restaurant?
