Have you ever talked to a farmer or business owner that said he was making money? Most businesses project profits for the coming year, if and when they don't hit that high water mark, they say they are losing money. You try that with the IRS. Tell them that you want to make $1000,000 next year, and then report that you only made $40,000, so you want to claim $960,000 loss and get tax credit for it. Add to that the political nature of news reporting media that love to report bad news about America and you have what you read.

American retailer are having good sales ,as the dollar is so low ,and American products are very cheap , overseas and to tourist back home. That is the good news the bad news is that if the dollar keeps falling , soon it will be a useless piece of paper. This is the results of Bush's economic program, running business as usual fighting two wars and giving a tax
cut to the rich. American is borrowing $2 billion a day from China ,Japan and Saudi Arabia to keep our economy going .
The current National Debt is:
$9,123,594,550,663.79 And grows at $1.49 billion a day since 9-29-06 , Each Americans share is $30,049.79 , anew born baby will inherit that debt upon birth.

Source; Type into search-
The National Debt Clock.

Edit
When President Bush took office, The National Debt was $5.6 trillion , the federal debt increased 54% since Bush took office at the end of 2000 the debt was $5.6 today it is $9,1 trillion ( U.S. Department of the Treasury,Bureau of Public debt.)

Do the retail outlets have to tell you that they are making money or will be making money based on 10 months sales? When the final sales are toted in January, that will be the time you can make nasty comments.and determine whether the sources lied or not.
