You know those ads that say, " Send 1,000 envelopes and get 5,000 dollars!" Is this a scam?

Often I see TV commercials for small businesses where the owner is the main character in the commercial. The majority of the time I find these types of commercials are horrible. One specific commercial for a local upscale restaurant features the owner. Throughout the entire comercial you do not know if the business is a restaurant, a funeral home, or a super market. All the owner does is give the name of the business and wants you to stop by and shake his hand. A few years back I saw a TV commerical for a local contractor. The owner begged and pleaded for the public to hire him. Now the ACE Harward commericals seen in Pennsylvania are done by the owner and I think are done very well.

Over the years, I’ve heard hundreds (if not thousands) of people state they like Burger King hamburgs but don’t like their fries. They further state their desire for Burger King hamburgers with McDonalds fries. However, your average person is not going to travel to both restaurants and wait for each item as the other gets cold. This is where my ingenious idea comes to play. I will reconstruct my kitchen room & dining room into restaurant fully equipped with tables, stools & chairs. I’m going to hire 2 teenagers that will travel to McDonalds for fries & Burger King for Burgers every half hour. This brings the 2 products to the customer – nicely, quickly & hot!!!! What I need at this point is information where to buy the large McDonald and Burger King signs they have outside their restaurants to put outside my house. Where do I get them?

We have been marketing a new product under a new brand name since 2 years. Though the product has good customer feedback, the Retailers and Wholesalers are not responding as we expect. As on date we have 30 Retailers and no Distributors. I suggest organic way of growing, that is first convincing the local retailers to sell the product and then try selling the product through the Distributors. This is because I believe if we are not able to convince some of the reputed Retailers in local, we will not be able to convince the Distributors. But my CEO prefers to concentrate on appointing Distributors instead of chasing reputed Retailers in local. And he says "WHILE GOING FOR ELEPHANT HUNTING DON'T CHASE THE RABBITS THAT COME ON THE WAY. Opinions/ suggestions please.

... so I do not have time to sell the idea now, also no funds to promote it. We can have the individual shirts produced at zazzle.com We need a website that can create the custom orders. 1/2 of the idea can be found on www.nakedspark.com but it is Not what makes it unique.

I have done some tests w/ great results.

There are many ways to market this. I think that it would be wise to make some Initial Offerings of Pre-Production shirts with Company Logos for companies to raise capital. I think that we should start with companies that base their businesses on inspiration before expanding to the regular market. Start with Weight Watchers, Colleges, NFL. Then Coke & Beer. If we solicite them shirts that relate to their Mission Statement the shirts should sell themselves.
I would prefer a company that already does this. Someone w/ excitement, looking to add to their line & looking for a hot idea.
I tried contacting The Gap, considering their situation, but they did not respond.

Please tell me why the hell it's even legal to say something is greater than 100%? It's impossible. Once you reach 100% it's no longer a percentage. The definition of percent is per 100. If you have 300/100 it equals the whole natural number 3. Perhaps you've heard of it? It comes after 2.

2 years back my company introduced a Hosiery product to the consumers. We have added some special properties, which even reputed brands have not introduced to the market. My company brand is new to Hosiery market. Customer feedback is good. As on date this product is available in 30 outlets. Due to some reason/s unknown to us most of the Retailers and Distributors are hesitating to stock and sell the product. Though all of them appreciate the properties of the product. I'm running short of ideas. Any suggestions?

This "Focus Factor" commercial is on a lot. They use the word "free" about a dozen times then at the end say you only pay $4.95 "to help cover the cost of shipping". Of course there's no way it costs more than a buck or two to ship a little bottle of pills.

Is anybody really stupid enough to pay $4.95 for this and think they got it for "free??

I run a summer computer camp called Funutation. As a revenue source we'd like to sell sponsorships (advertising). This would pay for scholarships for at-risk children. In return the sponsor gets listed on website, banners, etc.

I can sell camps, but not advertising. Are there people that have the job of Ad Rep and their job is to sell advertising live for TV, Radio, Newspapers? This would just be a different venue.

I imagine this person already sells advertising for TV and/or Radio and they have a segment of customers where they say "Here's another source for you to get the word out - Camp Funutation".

Most importantly, THEY ARE STRAIGHT COMMISSION

Where do I find these people? If on superpages.com, what is the proper keyword? (I searched on Advertising & I just found firms that help me write an ad, not sell advertising opps).

thanx
