Please tell me why the hell it's even legal to say something is greater than 100%? It's impossible. Once you reach 100% it's no longer a percentage. The definition of percent is per 100. If you have 300/100 it equals the whole natural number 3. Perhaps you've heard of it? It comes after 2.

But Circuit City will "refund the difference 110%!" that is the difference between what you were charged and a price you found elsewhere, plus an extra 10%.

I know what you mean.
like a label on an apple juice sometimes it states 150% pure apple juice, I'm like whaaaaaaaaaaaat? I was thought in school the maximum is 100%

its not illegal to say something is more than 100%...its just that people use that instead of saying three times better...you say 300%. something like that

ok thanks for clearing that up but I think when people say they are giving 110% they mean they are giving their all
