I did 3 interviews with a company last week. I'm more than qualified (but I don't think overqualified) for the position, and one of the people who called my references acted like it was a "done deal", that I would definitely get the position I'd interviewed for. I didn't...is it unprofessional of me to ask why I didn't get it?

I just pulled my credit report and my husband's credit card is listed there. He put my name on his account and gave me a card. Is it right for them to list this on my report if it's not my card? It's only listed on one report.

My friend at work has just returned back after 5months long term sick....What are her rights about returning to the position that she had before....Some guy is doing her job now and all that poor girl is doing is packing....I feel sorry for her but she does not like to just kick him out of his chair..anyone know her rights..We do have a manager and she said for the 1st couple of days just get back into it....but she has been back 2 weeks now...but yet they expect her to cover when he his on breaks....any ideas..

I was injured at work and had to be taken to the emergengy room for stitches. Later that day, i returned to work to find out that i did not get paid for the time it took for me to get treated in the hospital, even though i returned to work the SAME DAY I was injured. I have been advised to consult a lawyer, but, i wanted to make sure i have a legitimate argument before i consult a lawyer against my employer. What do I do?

I received $200k compensation on losing my job last week…the pay was outright and taxes took about 50%. Some details…I just brought a home last year…I am currently a full time student…unemployed otherwise…single…no dependants…how can I get most of that $100k back? I've never worked in a small company so I wanted to know how it is like to work for a small company before I make this move.

Currently, I work for this global wide company where I am being paid "little less than ok" slary. Recently, I've came across this oppotunity to be part of this company that has been up for about 5yrs and there are about 5 people working all togather.[Biochemical company]

They do not have 401k or health insurance, however they are willing to pay for the health insurance after I find my own. Salary will be about $10k/yr higher than now, and this seems like a good oppotunity to grow with the company. On the otherside, I'm not sure of their policy on layoffs, vacation, etc etc... If I do stay in a large company, I am pretty secured at this point.

I am married, my age is in middle 20's, and living in an apartment with no kids. Should I take this chance?

I just started Mary Kay less than one week ago and then I found the MK beware message boards and websites dedicated to informing women NOT to join the MAry Kay lifstyle. I was hurt because of a good friend of mine of two years signed me up and then never told me about all the money you have to invest she swore it was JUST $100 well she even paid the $100 for me and I was convinced until I saw that you have to place a minimun order of $400 quarterly to remain active. Which all of this was in the aggreement form which I neglected to read the fine print as often as we all do. Then she insisted I place this huge inventory order of $1800 for her benefit I am sure not mine. I am so sad about this because I love my little $100 kit but I feel like I was tricked and the concept really is supposed to be "enriching lives" I do believe that women all over the world can achieve success in any business but its not made for everyone and to be enrolled under misinformation is not the MK WAY
