Hey all. I need to find a new full time career in San Diego preferably Poway area or around there. Any suggestions? Where can I look? I really want a position as a receptionist or administrative assistant and I am experienced.

OK sorry about the confusion. I already live here in San Diego. I can't try a temporary service because my main problem is that I need to make rent and I need a steady income. But thank you for the answers already!

Hey there. I don't know if you are in the process of relocating out there or already out there in, but try a temporay personal service. Alot of companies hire today through temp services because the temp service has done the basic job of screening the potential employees. Make sure you tell the temporary service that you are interested in a job that will go from temp to permanent. Also, if you can look for jobs as well as a post a resume onto Careerbuilder.com and Monster.com.
If you are relocating out to the San Diego area, I would contact the Chambers of Commerce in the San Diego or surrounding areas. If you go on their websites, they do offer information on relocation packages and potential employment services.
Hope this has given you some help. Good luck in your job search.

(1) The largest community newspaper in that region is the North County Times.
Poway, as you might already know, is a community in the northern area of San Diego County. I have pasted the North County Times Classifieds as link (#1).
(2) Poway has its own newspaper, the Poway News Chieftain. I have provided a link to their website (#2).
(3) The largest paper in SD County is the Union Tribune. Their Sunday classified section would have the largest job listing (#3)
While I'm not sure if you need to subscribe to these online websites to view their classified ads, you should be able to purchase a San Diego Union-Tribune at any local newstand if you live in a huge city. (Just check your yellow pages under "Newstands" and call them -- or your local main library -- to see if they carry the San Diego Union Tribune).

Check out the real estate industry. I worked in SD from age 18 to 30 and always in the real estate industry. Never got a job from the newspaper.
Make a nice resume and just go apply!

Try online or in the Classifieds section of the newspaper.
Best of luck finding a job, though!
