4 years ago I graduated with a degree in communications with an emphasis in public relations. While in school,I did one internship.

Since then Ive applied to several different jobs, getting no response at all back.

What I would like to know is:

Are there any jobs out there that only require a college degree in anything?

Is it even remotely possible that I can be hired for a job other than working on an assembly line at a factory,or washing dishes in restaurant,or stocking shelves at wal mart??

Should I complain to my land-lord peaple? They have been nice to us, and they always turn it down when i ask, but I recently told them that that was it- we were going to complain next time, and she said "we pay this rent to do what we want", and then she complained about my 3 small children running and stomping around- which we try to monitor by the way, but my 4 year old son forgets this rule alot- what is your advice? They play it about twice a day, and it shakes our floor, and I can't think of anything, or do anything until it's off, or I leave the place.

Hi,

Any finance tips would be appreciated as well, but I am specifically interested in your 'quality of life' type answers.

Some people I talk to say they would "never want to be a landlord" and others think it is the best way to make money.

I would employ a management company to be the point of contact with the tenants and am strictly looking at it as a finance business.... ROI all the way.

Any "Do it!" or "Don't do it" recommendations? Why? How has it affected your life, for better or for worse.

Thanks!

Todd

I'm about to enter my senior year witha dual economics and finance degree, but i really have no real direction on what i want o do after i graduate, not even sure if i want to do business... biggest fear in life is becoming one of those docker wearing, cubical sitting people who hate going to work everyday for 30+ years and have nothing other than an average retirement plan at the end. idk, advice anyone?

If it not appropriate to not touch a women whom thou right hand does not posess, what do you do when a female business associate (at an interview, meeting, etc.) reaches out to shake your hand, and not offend those who do not understand that it is out of respect that you do not shake their hand?

Now, let's say you have that amount already saved, plus you have additional funds. Should you just spend that extra money? In other words, when does a person have too much money, and what's the point of having extra money laying around if you're already prepared for a rainy day?

I was a salaried employee at a corporation. I resigned from that job several weeks ago, but -- through management or payroll error -- I haven't been taken off the books as I'm still receiving paychecks and still have my old insurance. I know I'll likely have to return the money direct deposited into my bank account, but I'd love to stay on their insurance for a little while longer until the insurance through my new job kicks in. Legally, can I get in any trouble by not reporting this accounting snafu immediately?

Attention real estate experts! I have made a $1,000 earnest money deposit on purchase of a twon house in VA. Six weeks have passed and tenant has not moved. Social case worker had not found another Section 8 (subsidized rent) residence for her.and is on vacation. How long must I wait before I am justified in canceling the deal and having my $1,000 returned? Or must I wait indefinitely at the mercy of the Section 8 tenant? What is the seller's responibility.

My wife and I are interested in purchasing some waterfront property on Puget Sound in Washington State, but we would not build a home for at least 10 years. Will lenders finance unimproved property? I just want to know what to expect before making a move.
