Can a person be granted a patent without a working prototype, or would I be stuck with one of these late night TV commercials where they give you a tenth of a percent of the profits from the initial run and keep the rest for themselves?

I've read the answers to previous type questions, but mine is a little different.

What do I need to do to protect a fictitious (spoof) name of something , about 7 to 10 words long, that will be on a t shirt?

This is just an example of something *similar* to what I would have:

"State of Montbanana Department of Apes and Chimps"
"...don't slip on appeal"

My wife has inherited 56,000 Canadian dollars. It is in a bank in Canada and we need to get it changed to US dollars. The banks want a ridiculous rate. It would cost us about 5% through the bank. Is there a better way to get this money converted from Canadian to American dollars?

I need to find real estate professionals (agents, appraisers, delevopers, property managers, ...........) who would be willing to speak to a class of college students in Kentucky.

I would rather not call people from the phonebook at random. Any ideas about how I can can find candidates?

I have been in sales for many years, it's what I do, but maybe do not appear as an arogant do anything for a sale man. I sell swimming pools for 5 years and I am leaving soon the jerks I sell for now as most are mom n pop operations that cheat their own sales people as much or more often than the customer. I trully enjoy selling pools and am good at it. My question is as most sales people know we need to create an urgency close to get the homeowner to buy today. These companies use "rehash" , so if you leave the house it reverts back to the office who can sell it for less than yourself. Most common used is the "showpool" close which in most cases is just a lie to have a good reason to lower the price, to make the deal. You know, a place we could bring a potential pool buyer to see that pool etc.Anyone that knows what I mean and in sales, is there another close you can get the homeowner to buy when you are there, without giving it away at a "par" at cost?
