so I am starting an import business and after years of wondering how to get the money to start I decided to start with with very low quantity and use my credit cards for it, but now i have a friend that is insisting to invest in it(she nows it will take off). my problem is that I have a certain idea about how to go with it, and I am affraid that if I accept her money I won't have the same freedom and I would have to listen to what she has to say and how to do things (she has no business experience, she just has money!) so in short that this business won't be mine anymore.
have you ever have this experience did you accept money from other sources and how did it go and what happened? if you had to do it again would you do it same way?

i describe it this way... i have a litlle experience in a lot of subjects. i have worked some shows/seminars mainly with "at risk" youth but my contacts are few and have good words to say about me just no where to point me in the way of job leads. i no longer want to do the same type of speaking i am looking to do more adult based motivational speaking. i live in hawaii and i don't recall ever seeing this type of job listing in my local paper... i have decided to go back to school in the mean time but i am no youngster so i would really like to use all my time to its fullest. can someone please give me some real advice, i have checked some web sites but they mostly offer books that don't really fit my needs. i am not wanting to create my own seminars at this point i wish to work for and/or with a company till i gain the knowledge of the background part of the job as well as the stuff i already am familiar with. (please don't mind my grammer or spelling it is 3 am, i couldn't sleep :)

I am retired. My house is in Vermont. It is paid in full. It is all that I have. I do not want medical bills to force me to sell it.

My husband and I are looking for a reasonably priced area down south to live. We're just starting out, so we don't have $250,000.00 to put into a house. We would like a good neighborhood for are young daughter, good school and has a shopping area near, but isn't near the high way.

I have a degree in computer systems technology, and i'm working on my A+ certification now, as well as others in networking at a later time, i have trouble finding a employer, when i look up on websites they post qualifications that are way to high for me, and some sites list no openings or its just like senior level jobs, and i have put my resume on several sites that show it to lots of emplyers, and i think its way to slow, and that the websites do not list all their jobs, my question is if i called them directly and asked if they had any jobs that match my quilications would i get faster results?

Our study of acts of uncivil behaviors documents how destructive incivility can be to interpersonal relations, including loss of team productivity at work. We now seek to learn how perceptions of incivility differ by world location, gender and age.

Hi, I saw a home on the MLS that I like. When I called the seller's agent to see if they would show it, they wouldn't because I didn't have a buyer's agent...can they do that? They said a buyers agent was "free" so I should get one, but I explained that the price is always 3% higher to cover that commission. I thought their job was to sell the home and I'm a preapproved, 20% down, no home contingency buyer! Any ideas on how I can see these listings?

Hi, I'm thinking about making an offer on a FSBO property. However, I'd like an appraisel done so I can be certain the home is worth what I offer. Can I make my offer contingent on the home appraising for a certain percentage more than I offered? What percentage is fair?
