good question. Geico is the car insurance i use, and i save some money.

but! it's a 'do it yourself' money saver. ie: we were hit by another vehicle, other party got ticket...clearly they were at fault. i had to pursue the other party's ins co. for payment. it was a long hassle dealing with mean people. Geico did nothing. Well, actually Geico made it more difficult because they added to my workload with demands for interviews, reports, answers.

I'm not leaving Geico cuz i still save money, and i'm capable of the do-it-yourself. but this won't serve everyone well....i guess u get what u pay for.

You really need to check what the insurance company calls FULL COVERAGE.
Gieco for example you pay Full Coverage, they only pay Book Value. You are stuck with the rest of the payments. Period.
The Full Coverage is the Basic coverage, at a more higher rate.
Always check before you pay.
You don't always get what you pay for, sometimes it is a lot less.

you get what you pay for, poor customer service, if you have a claim you get dropped.

My suggestion if in your area they have a farm bureau agent contact them. you have to pay to be a member (small fee) and they will have the best rates and wonderful customer service and agents
