For Muslims: what is appropriate in business for the Ummah?

If it not appropriate to not touch a women whom thou right hand does not posess, what do you do when a female business associate (at an interview, meeting, etc.) reaches out to shake your hand, and not offend those who do not understand that it is out of respect that you do not shake their hand?

Is there legal recourse if you get fired for your behavior?

They can fire you for just about any reason other than discrimination. Religion dosn't protect you in the private industry.
