Why do companies want to hire people with little skills/ability to advance versus people they see who have many skills and the ability to contribute in different parts of the organization? I am convinced that many companies do not want to hire people who may look too "ambitious" on their resumes, or hiring managers don't want to hire people with more education than they have! So...what do you think?

I discovered this website, www.deadmalls.com a few days ago and I have been entranced with it. It basically covers the phenomenon of how shopping malls that were once thriving in the 70s and 80s became outdated, decaying shells of their former selves due to new development and anchor stores either moving on or going out of business. There are a couple of such malls in my area, and even though they are gross, I find them intriguing because one, they seem somewhat haunted, and two, I guess they bring back nostalgic memories of childhood and a simpler time.

Me and a buddy of mine are considering opening an Arcade type place with laser tag and/or paintball. I don't know how popular either are currently, but I believe put in the right place and done correctly could put up some interesting money figures.

Truth is, the closest place like this to us is in Winsconsin, or they are small, cheesy ones. There aren't many arcade type places here in the Chicago and Chicagoland area, however, and the location we have in mind is only 20 minutes from the loop (downtown) and pretty much centered around the most populated suburbs (Summit, Maywood, Broadview, Riverside, Berwyn) .

In theory it could be cool, but what are some opinions of some of you people out there as fans of the games and entrepunures and investors.
