Makeup - November 2006

well i am currently in 11th grade and in spanish 3 (but i began it at my old school)..i moved to a new school last year and spanish 3 was not available at the time that I moved to my new school. So about 4 weeks ago I started the 2nd half of spanish 3 at my new school which is roughly where I left off. well all the other students have been in this class since the beginning of the year and I have just come in during the 2nd half of the semester and it seems like my teacher isnt willing to help me catch up. the main thing is my teacher is a total grouch to me and gets mad when I ask any questions! the other day she went around asking students if they were going to spanish 4 then AP spanish. when she got to me she said "this is your last year right"..this really makes me upset because I wanna continue with my spanish(it will also look very good on college apps)but she is the only spanish 4 and AP teacher at my school! if i told her i wanted to take it she would prob make fun of me HELP!

I drink lots of water, but I don't use a toner. I have combo skin. Some lotions break my face out, and other makeit look greasy. I just don't know what i need to do or where i should start. I don't want to wear powder or conceler any more but i don't really have a choice when my skin is so uneven. Any suggestions on what brands that i should try?

Iam not very sure where to get it from , does anyone know a good one that will cover red marks or acne red marks and make it look alot less red ? and can you please state the name of the product or the brand , also some good make ups that would cover acne very well without making it worse.

I have oily skin, well not always. Sometimes it is worse than others. But I want to know what is a good foundation or cover up for me? The ones I do use I end up looking like a shiny mess. I have tried like 3 different brands. I just want to look my best especially at work. Any tips or suggestions would be great. Thank you so much.

I put on my mascara this morning like always but today there are a couple that are stuck together.....it is driving me crazy. I have looked and they don't appear to be clumped together but why is it doing this? It isn't even a new tube. What's the deal? Any ideas or suggestions? Anyone know what I am talking about? Don't you hate that feeling?

I was wondering if there was any really awesome looking natural makeup remedies. You know, berries for lipstick, etc. And also, what's a natural way to keep your makeup from melting and/or fading away by the end of the day. I'm so sick of the expensive makeup that doesn't last more than 4 hours!

If you wash your face and then mash up oatmeal and water, until it becomes a paste, then put it on your skin. Does this really make your skin soft? And does it cause breakouts?

some people had told me that cleaning my face with soap would break away my skin. but its crazy how i discover that using especialized products for the face sometimes can get your skin way better or worse. i had used products such as L'oreal, Noxzema, Clean & Clear... and they haven't make my skin lighter as cuaba soap had done to me. i dont have acne problems but my skin tends to get shiny and grease, which i hate it. i started using this soap and my skin (which i make up everyday with SPF foundation and mineral eye shadow and light pencil -natural make up) doesn't get grease after 8 hrs.

can you recommend me to be usin this soap? i mean.. my skin gets super clean but dry after using it.

I've tried all the usual lip balms, glosses and chapsticks at Walgreens, CVS, etc. with no success. As I'm going home in two weeks to see my boyfriend, I'd really like a smooth, soft set o' lips. lol. Are there any more expensive lip moisturizers online or in upscale stores that really work miracles?

I am wanting to get permanent eyebrows for the reason that when I was young I over plucked and they never grew back right.
I found a real nice man that has a permanent make-up school and a permanent makeup salon.
He wants to charge me $375, I think thats fair..eyebrows are a huge deal and he said it takes him the most time drawing them on to make sure they are perfect and then tattoos them...
what do you all think of this? Does 375 sound fair?
Has anyone had a BAD experience from permanent makeup??

I did let my finger nails grow so I could shape them in a rounded,more feminine look.When I polish and paint them,sometimes I don't achieve that perfect smooth painted nail?

I am a two year customer of bare Minerals, but I recently found this website froma business called Flawless Skin Mineral Makeup. has anyone bought or even heard of them?? Their website looks very generic and doesn't have any information about h ow they started, any copyright date,a phone number for customer service, or pictures of their empoloyees.
