What is The big deal with teens wanting to wear make up? I mean come on you sound like you live in the 18th century. Girls wear make up to look good and make themselves feel better what is wrong with that? As for the girl who said all English girls are **** i would love to see what she looked like and were she is from. I think stupid people blow silly things like this out of proportion when really they should be criticising themselves not other people

We weren't allowed to wear make up in school which is how my friends and I perfected the "natural" look to evade getting caught. A lot of girls blatantly couldn't do this and used to come into school with big spider lashes and crazy black liner! They would be sent to the toilets to wash it off with water leaving them with yucky grey cheeks all afternoon.
Teens love makeup because it's pretty, it's new, it's a little controversial. They want to attract attention, good and bad, from other people. It helps them gain a sense of identity, it allows them to express themselves. It's a sign of creativity - or lack thereof.

Becasuse their parents are letting them. My mom didn't let me wear makeup until I was a freshman, and then...only a little eyeshadow and blush. No lipstick! No mascara or liner.
It's a shame that growing up happens so fast these days. I long for the days when I looked so young and fresh without makeup.

i think evry girl in my school wouldn't be caught dead without, let's see...mascara....foundation...lipgloss and eyeliner, i know i wouldn't! maybe it's because the world and society are really influenced by clebrities and media, so they kinda strive to be like themso they wear make up and dress nice, and a lot of people these days are really self concious so they try to fit in with everyone else and hide behind a wall of make up instead of showing what's underneath...spots an' all!

They want to look their best. I do not blame them. There is so much pressure in looking good and being above the norm that I totally sympathize with this behavior.

Most teenagers do its just the way they find out what they like best and its part of growing up.If you have teenagers i found the best way is to share your experience with them and have fun teaching them.and like i always tell my girls little is more
