Stage makeup will run and go patchy with water. Try this:
Wet a makeup sponge and wring it out until it is practically dry. Do not scrimp, with a good deal of pressure rub the sponge into the makeup. Apply with a light touch.

Cold cream. Work it into the brush in large amounts and then use a paper towel or tissue to pull it back out (pull along the bristles, not against).
Repeat this several times. If the brush is artificial bristles, wash with soap and water when you're done. Allow to dry and make sure that all the cream has been removed. If not, repeat the soap and water.

never never ever with water!!!! cold cream can work or this pink cleansing stuff (not a good answer to that) just NO water
