Hair - March 2007

My hair is SUPER thin. I want it to have volume so it looks more full and thick. I have it layered all ready and I blow-dry it in the mornings and also I have shampoo that is supose to help. Is there anything I am missing or that I can do to make my hair have more volume. Please give me all your tips my hair is starting to drive me insane because it just sits there on my head like a hat. HELP!!!!!!!!!

I started coloring my hair about 3 years ago. After it always turning red, no matter what I did, I started coloring it black (about a year now), because that was my natural color. Now, when my roots grow out, it's this strange shade of medium brown that I never had before. I'm kind of sick of dying my hair all the time and I don't want that weird strip thing while it grows out. Is my only option to go to a salon and have them do it?

hi, okay last week i was treated for head lice and was told i was clear. i used the shampoo, had my hair cleaned and sprayed my home down. i washed all the sheets and stuffed toys in hot water, now what? they are back again and i can feel them walking on my scalp! help me!! any good advice?

I know that OSTER is a company that makes really good pro grade clippers and I would love to own one of those but they're as expensive as $150 and I don't know how well their $54 versions work. Could you please suggest some good models and names for clippers which i could buy off amazon or target or something? I keep my hair short but not like a crew cut, they're like 3 cms in length all over with a hybrid faux-hawk kind of look.

My daughter has had an continuing infestation of head lice for a while now, & I tried numerous teqnichues but the blighters would not budge! As she is nearly 14 she was always hesitant with me constantly nit combing her hair, and she assured me she would do it herself. I later found out she wasnt at all and to my dismay she bought glued in hair extensions, i thought that now with a hell off a lot more hair the problem would just get worse but....when she took the extensions out we could not seem to find any head lice in her hair or her extensions, i do not no why, could it be the fact everyday she blasts her hair with 230 degree hair straighteners everyday or that she used baby oil to get rid of the glue, could that also got rid of the lice? i have checked her hair and i cant even see any eggs! wheras before she couldn't even wear her hair up because the eggs were so noticable.

I am confused beyond belief can anyone possibly shed some light on this issue?

I got pink in my hair 2 weeks ago and its extremely faded. She bleached it first then put it in the pink dye. It looked awesome and when i washed it i used garnier fructis for coloured hair but now its gone all crap and all different faded tones. Should i redye it the same colour or strip it out and get a new colour? if i redye how can i stop it fading? many thanks for your help!!!

i used a conair hair straightner on it daily
and when its warm out side my hair just curls up again
is there any kind of products i can buy to keep it straight

yesterday my friend tried to style my hair with polishing wax [for hair] and i washed my hair afterwards but it won't wash off!! so my hair is sticking out everywhere, it's sticky and it's all shiny & oily so it looks like i haven't been washing my hair for days. and the wax is attracting all the dust to my hair!!! it's DISGUSTING!!! someone please help!!!

I recently dyed and highlighted my hair, however the highlights aren't as light as I want them to be. They were suppose to be a nice golden blonde, yet the somehow have some orange in them. I was going to bleach my highlights again, but I don't want to fry my hair. Also if I do do them over, How much longer should I leave the bleach in for?

I dyed my hair bleach blonde and it turned out orange..so I put ash blonde on it to tone it down some and it turned grey. How can I correct it??? I was thinking putting blonde highlights in it but I'm not sure..hopefully someone can help?

I have medium/ dark brown hair with blonde highlights, some layers, and bangs. I have green eyes too. and im sick of the blonde highlights.
