stay away from a short hair
i suggest aiming for a side swept long bang that starts from half the claic and (keepiing the other side long)
but dont do it str8 away start of with cutiing the fringe ttill ur cheek and see if the layer is ok with the root uplift and then keep cutting shorter until u end up with something similar to this.

its bettewr if the hair is a bit ticker so tha the weight of the hair itself would would prevent it form spltting.

You grow out your bangs and then cut them to middle length.
