What happened to your hair is that the strands that turned grey got more bleached than the rest of your head. To correct this, you can go to a professional corrective colorist (not just any hairdresser) for the most hassle-free results, but here is your next best bet...
Find a medium beige, neutral/natural, or golden blonde color, preferrably a semi-permanent, and leave it on for no longer than 10 minutes. [If you cannot find a semi-permanent out of a box, just mix half the developer with an equal amount of conditioner before combining this mixture with the full amount of dye. This way, you can leave the product on for a little longer, about 20 minutes. ] What this is doing is neutralizing the greyish tinge, which belongs to the cool color range, with warmer hues. If the medium blonde is not doing the trick, you can try a dark beige, natural, or golden blonde shade. Ash blonde can be a tricky shade to use when toning down brassiness.
I would do this first before putting more highlights in. This is a much simpler procedure than highlighting. However, if you are confident about using bleach and applying highlights, you should not hesitate to do it just because you have bleached your hair once already. A second application is not going to kill your hair instantly. The reality is, your hair is already fried. Putting more bleach in just means you have to have a more intense conditioning and styling regiment. If you are ready to commit, go ahead with the highlights. I strongly recommend going to a professional for highlighting, though. A colorist with years of experience know where to place the highlights and how to control the final color.

That happened to my daughter. Anytime she uses an ash tone she gets a grey/green tint. She always has to use a gold tone. Get a bottle of dye that closely matches your natural color but make sure it has the word golden in it. Like Golden brown and so on. Your hair pigmentation doesnt work with Ash tones at all. Since I have a lot of red in my hair, I have to use ash if I don't want red high lights.

maybe blonde's just not your color. don't get me wrong blonde is great on some people but dying your hair repeatedly like that esp. with bleach is really really bad for your hair. try your natural color with maybe some lighter highlights, and work your way up. remember, dying (especially dying blonde) isn't the greatest for your hair, and when you dye darker colors, it makes your hair look healthier. now i'm not a hair expert so i suggest going to a stylist and asking them what to do but for now, try a semipermanent dye (bit better for hair) and deep conditioning weekly so you can get healthy hair for the next time you dye it because if your hair isnt healthy, you're risking serious breakage by dying it again.

You should stay with the same brand.....for sure....i didn't do that once and ended up with GREEN hair!!! Yes, GREEN hair, right before an important event!! Anyway.....stay with the same brand, but different toner.....if it says ash in the name, as you now know, it means a kinda gray to the color....the color you have now will fade and look pretty, but i know u want it pretty NOW......but, before you do another toner on your hair, PLEASE condition it well first.....with perhaps CHOLESTEROL....queen helene brand of cholesterol is pretty cheap, and your hair will love you for it. I'd prolly wait a couple days before i conditioned and retoned though......

Do you keep using the same brand? hmm.. just try and dye it blonde with a totally new box, even if it is wearing out your hair it's probably worth it.

if you have blonde hair that will naturally get bleached by the actual sun in the summer. There had been this guy in my class who had golden blonde hair that was a medium brown near the bottom part. When he came back to university after summer vacation, it was practically platinum blonde!

Jet black hair. I have really dark brown hair and I think dark hair looks better. I don't really like blonde hair.
