my hair was smooth and soft but suddenly my hair has gone all brittle and rough at the ends. its like one strand of hair and its splitting it lots of other hairs. i can't really explain it lol. it feels really rough and when i starighten it, there are always little flicks of hairs. what is it and how to i get rid of it?????

p.s i use loreal straight and sleek hair protection and i straighten my hair everyday.

I just recently started plucking, but i wonder if i start sleeping well, the hair might frow back thinner. I remmber a time when i had no sleep at all, and the hair seems to grow back very quickly.

My hair is very oily, and I can't go without washing my hair for one night or else it will start to get very oily, does anyone know a shampoo that is light and won't damage your hair that you can use everyday?

I want to use this shampoo and just need some feed back if anyone has any coments about this shampoo. I think it's one of the new Nyle shampoo variety. Also if you know if it helps in dandruff and hair fall. Thanks!!!!!!

It doesn't matter if it's a herstyler or not, just as long as it's a hair straightner which can make your hair curl. I already know how to do the "happy curls" as they call it on their website, but I'm trying to make waves that are big and with volume, not tight little curls.

PS. I do not understand the Herstyler website's direction for fancy waves so please do not copy their instructions as an "answer" because it won't help. Well here's an excerpt:

Fancy waves – Take a large section of hair, slide it from the roots to half way, and then press the ceramic plates over the section in a twisting motion while sliding to the ends.

I have really fair skin that flushed pink at times...long wavy hair that can look black to golden brown, depending on the lighting.. My eyes are brown I think but they look really dark almost black. Some people has advised me to stick to my natural color, as they feel the dramatic black and white contrast is stunning. Others recommend I try bright bold colors for a change. What colors can I opt for? Is my color chart spring or?

hi. about a month ago i cut my hair REALLY short. and its horrible. its so short that it kinda sticks up its too short to go flat. i need some help.i cant go anywhere without a hat:(
can any of you guys please tell me what product WORKED? plz dont tell me this might work, try this blah blah..

Hey, I have naturally light light brown hair, but since the age of 10, have used rinses, or semi-permanent colours from reds to dark browns to now black.

What colour should I try out next? Should I stay with a brown colour? Which one?

i'm half korean/quarter italian/irish, and i'm growing my hair out. it's pretty long right now and thick. I was just wondering if mousse was better suited for long hair than hair spray is. is mousse sticky kind of like hair spray is? I want to style my hair just how I like it but I don't want it to be to "stiff", which is what happens when I use hair spray. any suggestions?

My hair has been through a lot. I'm just getting over a pretty serious eating disorder. Also, I did a lot of coloring about 2 years ago. My hair broke off almost to my scalp. It is just now growing back to the length it was before all of that. Its a good 6 inches past my shoulder. I'm so phobic about cutting it B/c it feels so good to have hair again. My hair has been such an issue for me. The last time I cut it was a year ago. Is there anyway I can preserve my hair until after the summer? Im so scared of cutting it. But I know I have too... I just want to get through summer if it is anyway possible. I know this is almost a stupid question lol. But this whole hair thing is a big deal to me. So if any of you experts out there can help me out... id be really thankful.

I want to dye ALL of my hair black. I currently have 2 streaks in the front that are very badly washed out blue streaks. Right now they are grey/green and even odd shades of purple and it looks terrible. They seem pretty washed out to me because when I wash my hair with normal shampoo the shampoo-foam doesn't have a lot of color in it, so I think it's about as washed out as it can get. Although there are a few spots that are really holding onto that blue color. The rest of my hair is dyed black...

My question is, is it ok to dye ALL of my hair black? Including the streaks? Will it take?

About 5 or so months ago I got my hair cut & one side flipped in and looked great but the other side would bug the crud out of me and flip out no matter what! And I got my hair cut again a couple months ago, and before I had layers and still do, and it STILL does it, its more easy to handle.. I guess but it still bugs the crud out of me!! It can't be the layers cuz both sides have layers.. how would it change one side and not the other? anyway, my question is, is there anything or way I can make my hair stop doing this? Its not the way I sleep, and I straighten my hair yet it still flips out so its not much of help and it drys like this, with a blow dryer and with out. But is there anything I can do? without having to grow out my layers, cuz I'm sure its not that.
