Hair - March 2007

I love the Yahoo Answers forum...people are so very helpful. So, I just thought I'd put it out there hoping to find a good hairstylist. It has been absolutely unbelievable how many bad hair stylists there are out there...they either don't listen to you, they have a diva attitude, chop off too much of your hair...you get the picture. So, ladies in the the Livonia, Westland, Farmington area...HELP. Thanks so much :)

3 months ago I dyed my dyed brown hair (originally platinum blonde) Black. I love it but it has a redish tint to it.

Im dyeing my hair again on Monday (touch up) Is there anyway to get rid of the redish tint?

I have dandruff! I wash my hair everyday. I have tried head and shoulders and now I use Redken for oily hair and scalps. i don't really have the flakes on my shoulders but I have them in my hair and it gets oily and kind of sticky. It is also itchy!!!!! I don't know what to do..... please help! your help is greatly appreciated.

okay i am having hair problem it is really bad and well my hair is not very easy to handle well anyways that's the reason why i got a perm and i kept stop putting a perm and putting back again like 3 times already and now i have perm and 2day i waz goin to stop but i changed my mind now the back of my hair and the two sides of my hair are really short and it's really hard for me to put in a ponytail but the centerof my hair is really long and the front of my hair too they cover the back and it reach passed my neck by a few inches and well i need help and this person told me that this product called doo-gro to use it and sulfur8 shampoo works too but i see no progress and well is there anyhting else that will help my hair to grow back to it's orginal form?also does doo -gro really works good wit braids and weave?

Hey! I have naturally wavy hair and would LOVE to wear it curly some days. Hot rollers and curling irons do NOT work on my hair, so they're out of the question. I'm not really a big fan of scrunching, because it never turns well. What do you do to make your hair curly and what products do you use? Oh, and do those curling shampoos and conditioners really work? If so, what brand to use? Thank you! <3

i need some ideas on how to do my hair.

i used to have blunt bangs but i didnt' like the way they looked so i grew them out to have side bangs. but they still never ended up falling the right way or looked the way i wanted to. now, they're almost to my chin.

i usually wear my hair down with a side part so i can get the look of not having bangs and then i when i tie my hair up i just pin my bangs down in a part. i don't know what to do because i look just plain horrible if i grew my bangs out and then pulled all of my hair back off my forehead. those are the only 2 styles that i use.

does anyone have any ideas on what kind of style i could get?

i have an oval face w/ long layered black hair.

my hair is really sort of wavy, curly and course and thick. i kind of lost my really tight coiled curles do to relaxing. now its more really poofy loose waves, but my hair is still very course and thick. now i want to try to stop straightening my hair so much so i want to try some curly styles but my hair just ends up a poofy, frizzy mess! i've tried scrunching with mousse, gel, hairspray, but nothing kept my hair under control. can someone with the same type of hair as me please tell me a way i can get that wet scrunched look and keep my curls under control for the whole day? thanks!!!

I used L'Oreal Feria Marron Glace the last time, but I want a more obvious light brown so I plan to color my hair with Revlon's Color Silk Light Ash Brown, this time.

I compared both dyes and the colors (of the hair on the boxes) look the same.

What kind of shade should I expect? Will the Light Ash Brown still show?

Will coloring again be bad for my hair?

UK Answers only please, answers espec ially welcomed from hairdressers.
Ive recently had my hair coloured to light blonde (from natural mid blonde), but its got a slight yellowish tinge to it, which I dont want, i want it to be a whiter, cooler toned blonde.
Ive heard of these shampoos that can neutralise the yellow tones, apparently they are usually blue(!) shampoos that can strip out the yellow.
Do you know of such a shampoo or treatment??
I need one I can buy in a chemist such as boots, not a professional haircare shop.
Any ideas?
