Selsun Blue is a great shampoo for dandruff and itchy scalp - both my son and husband use it. If you color your hair, be careful, because it will strip the color. Neutrogena t-Gel is a good shampoo as well. I believe there are some topical treatments you can apply right to your scalp - check your local drug store.

I had the same problem and guess what? I went to an allergist and we discover that I was allergic to the some of the ingredients of hair dyes. So, if you do highlights, color, perm or relaxers maybe is why you have problems with dandruff; otherwise seek medical advise with a dermatologist.
