i'm half korean/quarter italian/irish, and i'm growing my hair out. it's pretty long right now and thick. I was just wondering if mousse was better suited for long hair than hair spray is. is mousse sticky kind of like hair spray is? I want to style my hair just how I like it but I don't want it to be to "stiff", which is what happens when I use hair spray. any suggestions?

i would use a mousse when your hair is still completly wet if you let it air dry you may find it feels stiffer when it dries but if you just blow dry for a minute or two it will eliminate that and feel natural then use a light spray when dry

How bout using both? Apply the mousse on your head to get your desired style followed by a spray of hair spray. Mousse is more of for curly short hair. It's not sticky its like foam. Well these are my opinions.

Go with the mousse when your hair is wet and style the way you want it. Just watch when you purchase it to see how heave the hold is. Start with a med and work from there. Hair sprays leave hair to stiff.

Use both. I have long thick hair too. I use curl.life designing system by Matrix and it doesn't leave my hair stiff. Put the mousse on when you hair is wet and then blow dry. If you are curling your hair, spray the hairspray on each section before you curl it. Once you let your hair off the iron, let your hair cool then run your fingers through it.
