Watch out for shampoos that the second ingredient is SLS, Sodium Lauret S...it can cause your hair to fall out. Also, if you do not have dandruff, don't use those shampoos. A great conditioner you can buy for dry hair is Wella Kolesteral, and you can purchase at Sally's Beauty Supply for about $4, they have in Intense Condition by Wella for $5 and will last a long time. To boost the conditioner, try using a heat cap for 15 minutes to get the conditioner warm and help it penetrate the hair better. The cost of those caps, $21 and they last forever. Good luck!

The best afforadable kind in my opinion is Garnier Fructice. They have a whole line of products made for dry hair. I am mixed and always had problems trying to find products for my dry hair. I have been using Garnier for about 2 years now and will never use anything else. I can actually wear my hair the way I want without the frizz.

I find that using a hair treatment once a week really makes a difference. You will need a moisturising shampoo and conditioner. I love Sunsilk.

By far...the absolute best is the new brand called Organix!
It has organic active ingredients and is sulfate free so it wont dry out your hair, plus...it smells awesome! They have different collections for different hair types which are all amazing! You can get Organix at Target, Kroger, Albertsons, Safeway, Duane Reade, etc. You'll love it!

Pantene is great for dry hair. After using it your hair will be very smoothe.....I like to use herbal essence. I use the one with pomegranate, persimmons, and lychee. OMG, it smells so good!!!! As for condition, if you use pantene then you don't need conditioner, cause it already makes your hair soft. But if you want conditiner just use any pantene conditioner. ^_^

herbel essence for the natural ingredients and scent.
head and shoulders. I switch to h&s every once in a while. I think it cleans more throughly.

Nexxus Therappe and Humectress. Salon-only availability.
It'll do miracles, but don't use exclusively for more than two weeks-it'll tend to build up and make your hair look flat.
You'll be surprised at the volumizing effect if your hair is thin and/or dried by overprocesing...
