I want to dye ALL of my hair black. I currently have 2 streaks in the front that are very badly washed out blue streaks. Right now they are grey/green and even odd shades of purple and it looks terrible. They seem pretty washed out to me because when I wash my hair with normal shampoo the shampoo-foam doesn't have a lot of color in it, so I think it's about as washed out as it can get. Although there are a few spots that are really holding onto that blue color. The rest of my hair is dyed black...

My question is, is it ok to dye ALL of my hair black? Including the streaks? Will it take?

Yes, but use semi-permanent (the 24 shampoo kind) instead of permanent black dye. Since semi-permanent only adds colour and doesn't rely on peroxide, it's a safer bet to use over previously dyed hair. Peroxide-based permanent dyes may or may not work properly. It also won't add any more hair damage!

Sure. But if you use a black shade of dye, it will have blueish highlights. However, if you use the darkest brown you can find, you will end up with a very natural dark black color. Manic panic also makes a good true black. Dye all of your hair at the same time, or else the blacks could be too different. Good luck!

the black color will cover all the other color(black is being the darkest color of all). The problem you might get later when you want to change your hair color, you need to get your hair bleached (done by the hairdresser!) to get rid of black color. I had my hair colored black before and I had to go to the bleaching process before I could change hair color (brown). THe bleaching could cause damage in your hair. After bleachign and re-coloring, your hair will need the deep conditioning treatment regularly to prevent hair damage/brittle. hope this help.

accessively dying your hair can really do some damage to your hair. dry, fall out are just a couple of things, so when you decide to take the black out go to a professional to get a deep conditioning

yes the color will take but you may have to do it more than once for the color to grab evenly. and yes, it is ok to have all your hair black, just remember that black is the hardest color to get out and if you decide to go lighter, have it done professionally.
