What would cause someone in just a matter of days develope a very large bald spot? A perfectly healthy woman (doesn't fit any of the normal criteria for hair loss) Discovers a 2 inch by 2 inch circle of baldness. This wasn't there just days before when a hair cut was given. Nothing was used on the hair during the cut. We know it isnt related. The hair cut was done by a neice at her own home. This has us all baffled. Nothing about diet has changed. The only thing she did that would be abnormal was take a full bottle of the recalled generic tylenol. Everything shows that wasn't or isn't the cause. HELP!? Please provide any wesites. We have searched and searched and she has been tested. We feel that (maybe) a link to the recall since that is the only change. Advice anyone????

My hair gets really frizzy right after I shampoo it. I wipe if off gently and air dry it, but after brushing, it tends to stick straight up. It's not that short so it looks really strange. Hair dryers only seem to make the situation worse. I've tried mousse and gels, but they make my hair sticky and give me that Elvis look.

The last time I went to my barber, he put something in it that was thinner than gel, but it made my hair calm down without getting stiff or sticky. It was like an oil or tonic of some kind and it seemed to mimic natural oils. I plan on asking him the next time I go, but that's going to be weeks from now. Anyone know what he might have used?

I just recently cut my hair about jaw length because of the severity of my spilt ends. I have extremely thick hair and dandruff and my scalp itches all the time. I've also my hair 3 times and recently dyed it back to my natural color to grow it out. I would like to grow it out again but want to do it in a healthy way. I can't stand not washing my hair every day because I feel dirty and blow drying my hair is the only way to style it. I use Biolage leave-in conditioned and SilkTherapy leave-in every day but it doesn't touch it. How do I fix or cure or manage my hair on a very small budget so it's healthy again.

help me!!! my hair is super thick, frizzy and poofy, and takes hours to style. about a year ago, my hair was chemically relaxed, but the effect has worn off, and now my roots are coming in curly, so no amount of straightening can flatten my hair to my head. should i get the japanese straightening??? or is their something i can do on my own??? PLEASE HELP!!!

Ok, so when i blo-dry my hair, it turns frizzy and poofs up. It's never smooth or lays flat. Right now i'm using sunsilk anti-poof. It hasn't really helped.

I've had the same hairstyle for a month now, and i scrunch it everyday with moose to make it wavy; and i think it looks good but is it weird if you have the same hairstyle for a while. The only reason i'm asking is that my brother said i look the same everyday. So any ideas for new hairstyles? I have one inch below the shoulder brown hair, and its cut in layers. Thanks for any answers.

Yes, to change the color of hair grey as opposed to coloring it brown/blond/etc.

Thanks

I use a hair straightener every week day (rarely on the weekends). My split ends became pretty severe and I neglected to get the much-needed trim for a month. I got a trim one Friday (didn't straighten my hair that day) and had an inch taken off. I didn't straighten my hair that weekend, but on Monday afternoon, after straightening my hair that morning, I noticed that my split ends were back! I expected a few, but it looked as though I was still neglecting to get a trim. I've been using a Garnier shampoo to strengthen my hair, but it hasn't seemed to have any effect on my ends. My hair type is fine, but my hair gets very wavy and bushy while I sleep or when do not straighten it. I always let my hair air dry, so the only harm caused by heat is from my straightener.

What can I do to fix my split ends? Are there any at home remedies?

I'm not trying to put black girls down cause I am one. But I just noticed that I have hardly seen many black gurls with REAL hair going much past the shoulders. I also noticed that a lot of my friends used to have hair down their backs when they were young but have extremly short hair now. I have seen tha trend a lot. Is it the perms. I think it is. Maybe it is lack of knowledge on how to care for black hair? Many people are not gentle and do tomany chemical and heat treaments to their hair. Black hair is gentle! I know it can't be genetics. so what is it?

I'm going to get my hair dyed pretty soon, about two or three weeks from now, and right now my hair is jet black, and it's my pride and joy, it's very thick and silky, but I'm getting it dyed a few shades lighter to a dark/medium brown. Do you have any tips on keeping my hair in tip top condition before and after the coloring? I'm so confused, do I wash my hair right before, three days before or not at all? Do I wash my hair three days after, or a week after? Do I deep condition before, or after, or both? Do I buy special shampoo, and wash only every two days? Help!!

My hair is flat at the top already. Will rebonding flatten my hair? I dont want to look like I am bald! Is it possible for rebonding to be able to make my hair straight yet maintain the volume in my hair?
