help me!!! my hair is super thick, frizzy and poofy, and takes hours to style. about a year ago, my hair was chemically relaxed, but the effect has worn off, and now my roots are coming in curly, so no amount of straightening can flatten my hair to my head. should i get the japanese straightening??? or is their something i can do on my own??? PLEASE HELP!!!

My hair is frizzy when I have it down, so every once and a while I go into a bathroom and run a wet brush through it. Don't shampoo and condition your hair everyday because you will take out the natural oils that keep your hair healthy and managable. I shampoo everyday because I work up a sweat every day but on my dad off on saturadays I have a shower with just bodywash. Too much of that "Chemical Relaxing" will ruin your hair. My sister puts so much junk on her hair that she has about 5 inches of dead ends she wont cut off..Ew.

Get a ceramic flat iron and take it piece by piece to straighten it. They can run anywhere from $50 to $200. But make sure its 100% ceramic. You can get them at Sally's Beauty Supply or even Bed,Bath and Beyond type stores.

you can use keracare hydrating shampoo & humecto conditioner. also, find a referral for a good natural hairstylist until you can be comfortable with it yourself. NO! Japanese straightner for you. you might as well go back to the relaxer!

the only thing you can do is get it relaxed again. id recommend not getting th japanese thing though. i heard it breaks your hair even more than a relaxer.

You can relax it again, that's what you're suppose to do.
But do just the roots.
