could it be the effects of radioactive treatment?? or the medication your taking.. there are many treatments out there, some good many not so good but i think the best thing for your to do before considering any remedy is to talk to your doctor. good luck.

Sorry, but your doctor (oncologist)should've warned you about the hair loss-- call him /or see him- there may be a product you can take to get the hair to start growing back as soon as possible. In the meantime, gentle baby shampoo-- dont use mouse or anyother product on your hair-and use only a comb gently and not a brush.
Good luck to you--- I hope you beat the problem with your thyroid- and once the treatments are done- it's probably just a couple of months before everything goes back to normal--- one more thing- dont wear hats- men dont believe it but it does help lead to hair loss.

Don't worry. Once I had two cat scans about 2 months apart, and that made my hair fall pretty badly. I know it might seem very scary, especially after taking a shower, but just give it some time for your body to get it together again. My hair was normal again after about 2 months. But your case is somewhat different since you are still on medication, so I think you just have to wait it out. In the meantime eat lots of protein rich foods ( rice and beans would be good for you)

If the Methimazole has a side effect of hair loss, u might ask your doctor for a different medication that is similar without this side effect. Hair stylists know medication is one of the most common causes of hair loss. Good luck!

Hair is made up of protein and adequate protein is necessary for good hair. Vitamin A, E and certain other vitamins and minerals are also needed for hair. Foods such as milk, curd, soyabeans, eggs, fish, liver, yeast, wheat germ, honey, nuts, grains, palak and carrot are rich in these nutrients.

First check it out with your doctor, do not start home-remedies which may hamper with your radio active treatment. More so it may also restrict your medicine's effects.
