Around a week ago, one of my flip-flop straps broke and I had to walk barefoot from the canteen to my residence hall; around 1/2 km on concrete and asphalt/tarmac.

It was really painful. Even in four-inch high heels, my feet would have felt more comfortable and I could've walked faster!

But I've seen many other girls walking to dinner barefoot on the same path! And so I thought I could do it too and threw away my flip-flops a little too early without thinking.

Besides, a lot of girls take off uncomfortable shoes to run: they say it's easier for them to run barefoot. And they do run very well in bare feet (on gravel!), as if it was the easiest thing in the world!

Well, I've worn really uncomfortable shoes before, but nothing was more painful than walking barefoot on concrete and asphalt.

So maybe you can explain why most girls seem to disagree with me on this...

I want to start a course to become a beauty therapist.
But the course i will be doing would be distant education. ( i have a son, so it would be 10 times easier for me to do it at my own pace)-(i can finish anytime between 6-18 months) thats the minimun & maximum time limit they give me.

But i wanted to know if the course itself is hard? and if it is, would it be harder for me doing at home, only by reading books and watching DVDs provided by the institution?

A few months ago my boyfriend decided to bleach his beautiful dark brown hair (well, let his mom do it...), was unhappy with the results so tried to dye it back and got this reddish/light brown color. i want to help him dye it back to as close to his natural color as possible. I've heard we need to buy a color darker than we want it because it will fade, and to wash it with cool water so the color will last longer.

Just wanted to see if anyone else had any suggestions. i would hate for his hair to end up green or something. i guess he can just shave it off if it looks too bad... but he really doesn't want to have to do that if he doesn't have to.
Please help! :]

My mum loves short hair but i hate it! I m a gal. We live alone 2gether! I m 14. She brings me to d hair salon and always insist on a slope haircut. But early this year she changed my haircut to a xtremly short china doll haircut.I had very short fringe and my nape shaved cause i my wanted it. My hair length was nose length. But my mum was not satisfied with it cause she consisdered it too long. So therefore, 1 week later instead of bringing me to the hair salon she brought me to the barber to get it cut. She told me that it would be better as they would use the shavers. Now my hair is shorter then a flatliner. I have super short side burns cause they were shaved. I look like a total boy. Looks like 2morow i m going 2 have another haircut but this time at the hair salon cause my mum wants to get my bangs cut real short and trim the back and front and not forgetting the top short!

My hair is currently a boyish slope cut with very short side burns and very short bangs. every 2 weeks once she brings me 2 the barber to get it cut like a boy. If i refuse she cuts even shorter. Sometimes if she is not free to bring me to the barber, she cuts my hair at home by herself. She uses a shaver to shave my nape real short(as far as she can go) and my side burns. Help me! Wat should i do??

I am 50 years old and have some gray hairs. I just got a divorce and wanted to attrack the ladies. I dyed my hair with a clarol product (dark brown). I got alot of comments behind my back. The thing is my face does look like I am only 40 years old. Maybe I should have used hair just for men. Open to all answeres thanks.

I recently lost weight... a lot of pounds. That is not the problem. The problem is now my breast seem to be futher apart. They are not full. And my cleavage is looking very ugly it is taking a lot for me to push them up. Also one is very noticeable larger than the other. Is there something that can be done without going under a knife? Serious answers please. Thanks

everyone says they dont notice it until I point it out, are they just being polite? Is it GawdAwful Obvious and they are just lieing to me? Should I risk the surgery to get it removed? Or leave it alone?????????? The derm says if I remove it it will leave a hole instead of a bump and I would basically have to have plastic surgery to fix it. I love my nose (other than the mole) and don't want it to get messed up by trying to rid myself of this mole... but what would you do if you were me??

I'm pregnant. Okay I know my hair will be stronger w/ the biotin and folic acid etc etc of prenatal pills while I'm pregnant. But I am frightened about the fallout process after birth. Judging by the fact that my hair has been sensitive to fallout before (due to years of dying though no blowdrying or other processing and never grew back in), I'm sure I'll experience this. Does anyone know how long it lasts (during breastfeeding, only a couple months...), if I should keep taking some vitamin pills to minimize the amount, and most importantly if it grows back?? I bet we're all different. I know a girl who lost so much hair after giving birth its less thick than the circumference of my pinkie! Any advice on what was done will help!

Mine are really bad.
I wear sandals mostly and can't seem to keep my heels looking nice.
Pedicures are out of the question. I've heard too many horror stories about germs and nastiness.
