Acne is all about management - there is no permanent cure although one may grow out of teenage acne. In the case of adult acne, management is the key.
So if Proactive is working for you & you stop - the acne may flare up once again until you are older OR you find something else.
The active ingredient in Proactive is benzoyl peroxide & there are other benzoyl peroxide treatments on the market.
There are also other ways to manage acne. Some are over the counter products w/ things like salicylic acid to keep pores clear or prescription products like Retin-A.
So - yes, you will need to continue a regime to control acne but you are not dependent on Proactive. There are other solutions.

Yes thats true because I tried it. And I've heard that sometimes it gets your face worse.

yes i stopped pro activ and my face is worse. i have to go back and stay on or else my face is 10 times worse!!! wish i never started it!!
