is there any thing i can do or use that will help my hair keep the straight look? i use my flat iron, but the next day it looks like i didnt even straighten it. or do i just have to straighten it everyday?

i have long, thick hair and i really want to curl it. i don't mean tight curls, and i can't go to a hair salon to get it done. everything i've tried doesn't work, including hot rollers and curling irons. any tips??

I live in a small town and don't have a lot to choose from when it comes to clothing stores. He's gorgeous but he wants to de-fluff, and he has heard that back sack 'n crack might do the job. He doesn't know what it entails and I am loath to tell him (tee-hee). So what advice would you give Mr. GorgeousFluffpot before he goes into the salon for de-fluffing.

I have naturally light to medium brown hair and I have been dying it darker for awhile. I notice that when I use the box from the store and even when I go to salon sometimes that my hair (the roots) will turn red/orange. I use an ash colored dye: medium ash brown. I don't want to pay to go to a salon so do you know of a product (even if i have to go to a beauty salon retail store) that can fix my hair.
