yeah i know this is a retarded question but i have no idea! i just got my belly button peirced three weeks ago and i'm going away tomorrow and i didn't know if it would be a problem since i couldn't remove it -_-

some will.. they always recommend to remove all kinds of jewelry. If you dont want to remove it, tell the security on hand before you go through the scanner

Mine all have surgical steel and I've never had a problem with them. I never take them out before I fly and have never set of the metal detector. You should be ok. If you do set it off, tell them about it and they'll use the wand. No big deal...

titanium will not set off the alarms. surgical steel will. Just show the person at the checkpoint the piercing and let them scan your body for metal with a wand.

Steel might set it off, depending on how big the piercing is. Let the TSA officer or whoever know that you have a piercing and you should be good to go...probably won't set it off anyways.

Shouldn't. Usually the metal in a piercing isn't enough to set it off. And being your belly button, if it does all you have to do is lift your shirt and show them... But mine has been pierced for years and it has never set it off... =)

it will probably go off but i u show them its just a peircing then they''ll let u through or there be mean and cruel and tell u its to dangerous and take it from u .....
