what will happen to your eyelashes if you perm them, will they make your lashes brittle, will it still grow even if you do this regularly?

I have straight hair down to my sholders. I wash my hair at night when i know i have to get up extra ealry the next day. I do blow dry it before i head off to bed. It never fails, when i wake up my hair is a total mess. How can i keep my hair from getting really messed up while i sleep?
