I got mine done about 4 years ago. Honestly I didn't think it hurt at all. Just make sure you don't let it rub on your jeans and you will be fine. That was the only time it hurt me. Yea mine got infected but I just used bactin ointment on it 4 times a day and I cleaned it 4 times a day with anti-bacterial soap (like dial). DO NOT TOUCh IT!! The main way it gets infected is when you play with it and your dirty fingers will transfer germs. Just wash, clean the belly button area (the hole or outtie), use ointment, and turn the ring as directed. After a year, you will be good to go.

Well when I pierced my belly, It didn't hurt all that much, but of course it depends on the individual as some people are naturally more sensitive then others.
My advice, go for it! = )

To be honest I think it hurts way more for skinnier people to get their belly button pierced than it does for larger people (who have extra tummy fat)... If you think about it, then its really true... A larger person will have more fat (less struggle to get pierced) and a skinny person will have less fat for the piercer to go through (more struggle to pinch the skin and pierce)... All the larger women I've talked to about getting their belly button pierced said it didn't hurt at all... It's all about how much fat you have on your belly... the less fat the harder it is to get pierced...
