i have got an aloe vera plant... can i use the fresh gel directly on my face?

I have heard people saying aloe vera gel is good for the skin and also for digestion.... As i have the plant at home can you suggest me what can be done with it? Also can it be used on hair... does is help anyway?

I am suffering from a severe case of dandruff and i have oily skin which makes it even worse. Please help!?

My skin and scalp are oily. It creates flakes and itching. As a result I can't wear black or any dark color. It itches as well. I have dead skin forming on my forhead and around my nostrils. I can hide the face problem with some cream but can't do much about the hair. I've tried Head n Shoulder to expensive medicated shmpoos and conditioners and by mistake oils too but to no avail

Are there any skin creams out there that REALLY work? Would I be wasting my time on Renova or Retin-a?
