My wife and I plan on visiting EPCOT Center this winter, and I'd like to photograph the fireworks display from the shore. Two years ago, I had no tripod but suceeded in taking pictures of another BIG fireworks show using a handheld camera, with ISO 400 film, a 28-70mm zoom set at 35 (f 3.5) and 1/30 sec. speed. Can also use a 50 mm 1.8 lens or, if need be, a small (6 inch tall) tripod. So, is handheld photography possible in this case, or should I stick to the tripod?

Remember when you could buy it at the corner store and have it developed almost anywhere.

Now it is a very hard to find specialty film and can only be developed at one location in North America.

These are two photographs that my husband brought home from the hospital where he works. The subject of the photographs has been the object of much conversation by his staff.
The first one shows what they are greeted with when they go to wash their hands in the lunchroom every day.

The second one shows a closer inspection of this strange object.

I have always had a fondness for taking pictures
I have a point and shoot camera 3.5mp that Ive owned for about 3 years. Its nice for taking pictures on the go.
I really like playing around with editing software and making viceo cd's.

I want to get more involved in Photography.

Im trying to decide on which route to take as far as camera choices. I have had luck in the past with cannon so that is the brand I am mainly focusing on.

my choices would be something like these.
1. EOS 400d Xti -with ALOT of accessories
2. EOS 40d - with a few accessories
3. 5D - with one accessory.

is the full size cmos in the 5D really worth buying and then maybee next year worry about getting more accessories for it?

Im just starting to look at my options so maybee there is something I havent looked at yet, like other models or brands that may be better bang for the buck. I dont want to sacrafice quality though. but then again I cant afford something like the EOS-1D

thanks

My dad recently purchased some photo prints. Upon their arrival, he was extremely disappointed with the colors, which had appeared much more vibrant in the web images he saw online before making his purchase. Due to a long detailed and irrelevant story, he does not want to return the images or ask for his money back, so here's my question.

Is there ANY way to add vibrancy back into the images? These are glossy-finished prints, approximately 16 x 20 in size, maybe larger. They don't appear to be actual photographic prints, just enlarged images - most likely printed off at Kinkos. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. And if you need more details, just let me know. Thanks, everyone!

I have a ton of old pictures that I want to put on a disc (so I can get them on the computer) but I dont have a scanner. My sister told me I can take them to walmart and use a machine to do it? Is this true? If so how much does it usually cost and how long? Thanks!

Nearly perfect Minolta 7s II... Full manual control, awesome Leica build, leather, and a huge, smooth F/1.7 lens.

Is there a digital camera on the planet that can match this kind of lens speed for $75?

made from digital photos? I take hundreds of photos a week and am trying to figure out the best way to preserve them. What are your preferred methods? Is it best to make hard copies of favorite shots?

It sounds crazy but usaully the disk on the camera holds a lot of pictures and it said not enough space. THIS IS MY SCHOOLS CAMERA!!! My friends thought it would be funny to take funny and BAD pictures and delete them afterwards. Well now im scared because i have to take it to school tomarrow...if you have no answer tell me wat to say to my teacher when he sees them if they are STILL on the disc. I dont kno much about the camera but here is some stuff it says on it....on the flash thing it says CDmavica, its sony, and on the zoom lens thingy it says Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar and by that it says MPEGMOVIE HQX digital still camera MVC-CD-400. So please if you have any questions let me kno. I am very scared about this week and giving him back the camera. HELP, and yes my friends ARE perverted so you can imagine the pictures my teacher could see?

I have some old film left over from school. It is the type that cannot be developed at Walmart or any other store like that (it is not the C-41 type). Would it be cheaper to buy the chemicals myself (and buy some more film just to use it all up) or to take it to a professional to get it developed? I don't want to waste it because it is nice film and I have had some good results with it.

If it is cheaper to buy it, what type of developing fluid do I need? I already have the film canister, but I will need to buy the film opener and bag (which I assume is pretty cheap). It has been over a year since I developed my own film, so I forgot exactly what I need.

I'm trying to create a photo book on Snapfish.

When I click on the "layouts" tab to select the layout for a page, it only lists the layouts with one photo on the page. What about the layouts with 2 or 3 photos? How do I see those??

(I have asked this question before, but I need specific agencies, with good reputations, if possible.)

I am 19, and for many years now I have been told that I have the looks and build to become a high fashion model. It is finally now that I am seriously considering a career in this field, as money is tight and I need to pay for my tuition. Do you think that I could become a model?

These were taken by friends in Berlin:

This is an actual photo from a shoot:

So what do you think? Where would I go first; what agencies?
(I live in Montreal by the way)

All help is appreciated,
Jacques
