Mind you i will probably not be using it much, so something free or inexpensive. Also preferably compadable with windows visa, if not thats okay, i have another xp computer downstairs. Thanks in Advance! Oh and i already have Pisca2 but its not doing what i want it to.

I've been trying for the past several years to sell prints (framed and unframed) of my nature photos ( http://acluckhardt.deviantart.com/gallery/ ) but haven't had much success. I live in a small town and feel like I can't get my market. I really want to build my business around selling these prints and build up a substantial amount of sales. If you have a minute, please take a look at some of those samples and let me know if such a plan is even possible... where should I sell? Eventhough I don't have experience with portraits, should I plan to start taking local outdoor portraits? Thanks!

I shoot with a Minolta x-370 SLR, which of course uses film, and yesterday I tried out a new kind-- Kodak Ultracolor 400-- and this is what happened with one of the rolls. Do you think there's a screw-up in the film's layers, or is this a photo lab botch?

some of the photos off that roll..

Imagine the photographer kept calling you to smile at the camera while he couldn't decide when to push the button. How could I smile naturally for even 10 seconds to wait for him?

Yeah, it's photoshopped. That's not what I'm asking about. I'm asking if the picture itself is any good.

When I take a face shot, it's ok, big eyes, white fresh completion, full lips. When it is the body shot of the same person (with legs), the face is of a greyish colour, beady eyes, no lips to talk about, mean expression. What am I doing wrong?

Even if their work is really professional looking? A real photographer is in it for how good the picture is not the equipment they use. Do you think that is true? It's the person not the camera?

If a person has a good eye as they say they can take excellent pictures with a crappy camea phone or throw away point and clicks in my opinion!!! What do you think?

I recently bought this camera for 2$, but I don't know what film to use. Are all polaroid films the same? Do they fit every model?

'Examine the role of photography in framing the experience of the family in the twentieth century in your answer make reference to the work of at least one artist who has addressed the personal and political ramifications of the photography industry'

Books to read:
On Photography - Susan Sontag
Camera - Roland Barthes
Pictures from Home, Los Angeles - Larry Sultan
Family Snaps - Jo Spence

Could anyone suggest an artist and a few tips or hints?

Sensible suggestions welcomed.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I am trying out my new Digital SLR. I am taking a picture of a person in shade, with a bright landscape background.
What settings would avoid me doing this. I know flash solves this problem and post-processing (photoshop) can also help. I want to do it without either flash/photoshop.

Can you give me some tips on how to get the faces bright and vivid colors on the background?

Thanks.

Does anyone know a tutorial on how to make a picture look like this:

http://www.cafepress.com/strk3.132603809 or
http://www.cafepress.com/strk3.132386306

I am pretty sure its a series of filters to a normal pic, but I don't even know what the process is called to try and search for it.
Thanks in advance,

How do I get a glossy skin effect when shooting fashion portraits? Is it primarily done in photoshop or with make up?

What is the process?

Thanks!
