I'm thinking of putting one together for my town's bicentennial, but I thought about it and I really have no idea how to put it together.

By the end of the project, you will be an expert. Just simply start collecting photos. Talk with older residents. Visit the library. Ask the local newspaper to run an article on what you are doing and ask people if they will share their photos with you. You can also take your own photos of historic places and compare them with older ones.

I went searching on line and found a pictorial history that some one had done. I thought it would give you an example of how one person put a project together.

You might consider making an electronic version of the journal that you put together for a program on your local cable-tv outlet.
