Hello there. Im looking for a new lens for my d50, I have a quantaray 28-90mm. I do alot of action shots, skateboarding, snowboarding, moving cars but I also like to photograph landscapes and I do some low light shooting. What would be a good lens for say around 700 dollars? Im looking at some of Nikons Vibration Reduction lenses but im also looking at nikons 24-85mm. anyway.... Please recommend me a good lens for my shooting purpose. Thanks!

I recently bought a Nikon D80. I chose this over the canon 400D/XTi. Do you think I made a good choice? Recently for some reason I have started to regret it. I don't know why. I guess it is because almost 90% of the people I see in pictures holding cameras are holding canons. Canons have better image detail.

I am really into photography and I remember years ago when my sister had gotten her first SLR..she had bought filters at that time which she would put on the front of the camera lens and it would add effects to her photos such as fog, rainbows, dreamscape.....and etc.... I know u can use that with photo software..but my SLR is 35mm I have yet find a good Digital SLR to my liking......I have looked everywhere for lens filters but find nothing...anyone have any ideas of what I could use or do???

We had to sit where the guide told us so I wasn't able to get as much light on the bear's face as I would have liked.
Let me know what you think and please sign my guestbook...

I'm starting my own photography business but I don't have the money to purchase a camera. If anyone is so kind I would greatly appreciate it if you could donate me a camera. I don't care if its used or old I just want to take portraits and develop my eye for photography. If you are so kind i'll be sure to contact you by email. Thank You All So Much!!!!

I'm taking a trip to Florida in July and I need the scoup on neutral density filters. I have a Nikon D80 w/18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 lens and I want to shoot great sunsets on the beach, and I hear tell of how well [some] ND filters work. But I am totally befuddled on which type to buy. Sure, I could get a ND .6 graduate that will screw on to the lens, like a circular polarizer, but the problem is with where the graduate line is. It's in the center, which would work great if I wanted the horizon in the center, but what if I'm using the rule of thirds with regard to landscapes? Does it matter? Or should I go with a slot system, where I would attach a gizmo to the lens and have adjustment with the filter [choice of what I can apply the 'gray' in my shot to diffuse light], does it work like that? I've read about Lee, all good things, but price is a concern. Any good brands that are cheaper, any alternatives?

I appreciate all suggestions in advance.

I overheard someone talking this weekend about a picture they received as a gift. The picture actually is a series of photographs that look like normal things at first (ie a building or tree), but when you hang the photo up and take a few steps back, each photograph is a letter that spells something.
For example, the letter "O" might be a beach ball. And, these can be custom created to spell someones last name.
Has anyone seen this before? If so, where can I get one?

...but no matter how many times I catch the fish in focus, the picture still comes out blurred. I turn off all the lights in the room so I don't get a reflection of anything on the glass then I get really close to the fish from the outside and focus. I'm using the kit lens and the fish looks really good when I'm looking at it through the viewfinder...but when I take the actual picture, the shutter is still slow so I only catch a blur from the fish. I'm currently set at 1/10 F5.6.

Please help.

I've seen sites like smugmug that will store and display your original photos, and give you 85% of the asking price if you sell a photo. Can this work? My idea is to hook up with a photo gallery and exhibit there, and get them to work with me in developing an online presence to coincide with my photo exihibitions. Is this a good way to go, or would it be better to just create my own website? What are Pros and cons of each or an altogether different plant?

I have 14 of the 4x5 Negatives of Michael Landon....some with his son, and ex wife I believe she was. Also there are some from the People's Choice awards, and him and his wife in swim suites.

Do you know how much they might be worth and where I can get pictures made from these?

Any help would be great!!!

I have scanned my pictures in, but the quality is somewhat diminished this way. I was hoping to have high quality digital photos of my photos.
