I shoot with a Minolta x-370 SLR, which of course uses film, and yesterday I tried out a new kind-- Kodak Ultracolor 400-- and this is what happened with one of the rolls. Do you think there's a screw-up in the film's layers, or is this a photo lab botch?

some of the photos off that roll..

oh, i forgot to say I did not expose the film to light-- i'm absolutely certain of that. However, it's possible the lab tech did.

This looks like cross-processing. Are you sure this wasn't slide film processed in C-41???

Set your white balance correctly. If you are using flash, movement will be less of an issue, otherwise, keep the shutter speed up. These are basics of photography - if you are shooting portraits & offering a 'service' (& calling yourself 'something' photography), then you should know all this BEFORE you start. Can't view your pics on FB wihout 'joining'.

i think i will be able to solve your problem,
or at least improve your photos.
i'm going to take just one of your photos and work on it.
then i will post it ( in reduced size) on my flickr site.

if you like the results,
email me from there... by adding a comment, or selecting email
from the drop down menu of my buddy icon...
to email me.
then i will let you know what i did, and send you the actual photo as an attachment.

give me a few minutes as i will have to work on your photo, then post it on my flickr site.
once you've seen it, email me so i can delete it from my site.

meanwhile, feel free to enjoy whatever i have there :)

p.s.

12:21pm... actually, it's done.
here it is:

12:48pm... and the other one's here too...

i didn't work on it too much, just a quick correction to eradicate the blue cast.
hope you like them.
let me know if it's better.

:)

This happens when your camera batteries are low.
when you turning on/off your camera often
when your camera is turned on for long time
when you were holding your camera, and your hand moisture affected your camera.
when you set your light mode to tungsten
