I'm trying to come up with ideas for canvas paintings. I'm like out of ideas. I've already painted 20+ for the house. I need more for the kitchen and living room. Need ideas on what to paint or how to get ideas

The painting looks like it may be a Rubens.
I'll try to describe it.. It is a sea scene with about 10 people and 6 little guys that might be cupids. they (the cupids) are aiming arrows at the central figure.. a goddess driving a water chariot pulled by 2 dolphins. She is surrounded by men with seaweed hair atacking blonde women in the water and on the boat. In the upper left corner there is another cupid holding an armload of arrows but he doesn't have a bow..

I have an old oil painting my grandmother painted. The painting is more than 75 years old and is looking very dark and dirty. There are also a few scratches and a hole in the canvas.

I live in South Carolina. Does anyone know of a nearby restorer that could make this painting look like new again?

For my husband's birthday, I'd like to commission a portrait of his father, who died last year. I'm in the San Francisco Bay area. What's the best way to find an artist who'll do a good job? The artist would have to work from photographs, of course.

Im deperatly trying to find the name of the painting or the artist who painted a very famous picture. It was very popular in the 60's and 70's. Its of a woman, who is rather oriental looking. She has been painted with a blue face and very red lips and she is wearing a gold detailed top. The whole painting is quite dark
If anyone could help me i would be eternally grateful!!!

I stopped painting after a back injury 5 years ago, it resulted in shoulder, back, neck surgery and I stopped painting due to pain. I went through several more surgeries and 3 years of therapy. I just got out of the habit of painting.

This summer my mother died of cancer, I spent 5 weeks living with her in the hospice. She talked to me about painting again and not waiting any longer to resume it. I knew she was right, I was excited about it at the time. But by the time I came home after assisting my grandmother and uncle with her affairs, etc. I was exhausted basically just came home and collapsed. Then got caught up in day to day family life.

Now with the New Year here I really want to honor my promise to her and begin painting, but I can't seem to get the excitement back. I would welcome any ideas from anyone on how to get excited and get back into the art I love so much.

Hi. I saw this painting in an art store so I assume its a pretty famous piece of art. In the background there was a rainforest setting.. mostly green. I remember the two fairies were greenish as well. If you're familiar with this painting or are an art buff and think you know.. can you please help me out. I think this would be a great b-day present for one of my friends.

I remember seeing other fairy paintings from this same artist. They are not cartoonish.. pretty realistic. Not sure what category this falls under.

In any case, I've searched the internet for hours and have had no luck with this. If you've seen this painting before or know the artist or title of the painting, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Sorry for being so vague.. and thanks in advance. (hopefully)

The redhead is sitting in the center of a room with two open books, one featuring a drawing of a statue's head with leaves as hair, resembling the girl. A large version of this statue head is in the hallway to the left with a window looking out on an urban setting with half its face blocked by a fireplace. Fire has escaped and are buring books next to the two the girl is reading. The hallway to the right is being flooded with water from an ocean carrying a large ship in the distance. On the right side of the painting is a bookcase covering the wall, containing many books, three of which have visible titles ("Decameron", "Symboles" and "L'Habit De Cheval"). On the left another version of the girl is standing with her hands behind her back looking in the direction of ice in the form of very small mountains turning into rocks (in the room), with water flowing into the room and a large balloon carrying plants in the distance. On the exteme left, inside the room is a large bare tree.
