How many inches?

I am currently working for a magazine and I want to be original, but I don't want my creativity to make it hard for the reader to follow the stories. I'm not sure of the usually font types, preparing for print, and things like that. Any advice, suggestions, or comments would be very helpful.

You may also message me or email me if you are a sort of expert in the field.

As a result of my education I have to prepare promotional materials for log/timber houses(in Scandinavia). What would you display on the brochure/ postcard promoting the above mentioned houses? The slogan could be as follows: Wood you believe it? or 'Go wood!'

I saw this in a t-shirt. It's a Letter A imposed on a Letter O. Or just see this pic that I made (it's not a replica of the symbol but it looks like that) if you don't get what I mean.
