I specifically need information on the "saint" portion of "The Last Judgement." I am doing a report on the middle section of TLJ, and I need to find books, web sites, etc. to aid me in my research. Do you have any suggestions on book names, web addresses, or any other info that may help? Thanks!

I am going to buy a set of blue poi (don't ask) and I need to choose the colours for the tails. These are 6 ribbons in 3 colours, and I would like one of them to be blue in order to match the poi. What other colours would you choose?? I don't really like yellow! Thanks.

This is the poi.

Is the act of creating enough to classify the result as art or is it the product that should be judged art or not?

This is for an AP Art History anaylsis. Each example needs to be from different time periods and the origional locations need to demonstrate the ideals of the culture that created it. I've already thought of a few examples but i'm always looking for more (The AP test is only a few weeks away!) Thanks for all your help.

I'm a college student and my school doesnt have a very big art department. I used to take art classes but I dont have any this semester. I really love art and I need a resource(preferably a website) that lets me in on whats going on in the art world. I wanted to get a subscription to ARTnews, but I cant afford it right now. I am past magazine websites and some museum websites dont really help. Also, library access is kinda difficult. Anyone know any good websites or tips?

[Hi again, I'm making a survey, so please take a sec of your time and answer this simple question. Thanks.]

If colours were people and had personalities/characters., how would you describe them – their personalities/characters, moods, age, culture/country, gender......etc etc (anything else you can think of)

How about describing the colour RED?

Thanks a lot everyone :)

I am currently an art student in graphics design. We have alot to do in our module. Some very practical stuff like drawings, sketching, painting, composition, colours. I am only in my 1st year you see. Now its time for the final project. In fact this problem keeps coming back. Everytime i try to work on something, i am always stuck for ideas. i understand that ideas and inspiration don't always flow. We are kind of focusing on composition. The main problem i have is that i would always have an idea but when i look through books and pictures. the idea seem to sidetrack abit. I don't know if its cause i have been too unconfident of my work. And i just dont know how to start. And i'm scared that once i start, i would be sitting there stoning because i really dont know what to work on. As and when i have random ideas. But i really dont know how to put it down. There is just something, a barricade holding me back and i dont know what. A kind of fear i think. Please comment??

So far i am receiving some great answers to my questions. this is along the same lines but more detailed!
I have a dance studio that is letting me host an art gallary!
What should i ask them about restrictions? eg: how many holes can i put on the wall. is your building allowed to have wine drunk there? and i'm sure i'm forgetting to ask about a dozen more questions. Any ideas
Thanks again!

I just had this idea of making a postcard that I could mail. I am not crafsty at all...but I would like to try and make one. I want to make one that I can mail out w/ no problems.

I have never been to Kinkos, do I need to go there? (I have heard of ppl who go and make collages, fliers, etc...maybe I should post a separate question to Kinkos, cause I mention them, but nothing about the place!)

Also, I just saw a similar question that mentioned cardstock...what's that? Can/should I use it?

Or maybe I should use adobe photoshop or something.

I want IDEAS and then I need INSTRUCTIONS....

I'd make a postcard w/ a pictrue, drawing or painting...maybe photocopies and mail it out. I want to buy like a postcard you'd buy on vacation.

Puhlease...any ideas that you have? I want something beautiful and near professional (or craftsy)!

thank you :)

I know that they all can be used t osave and display pictures.
So why is it that DIGITAL Cameras

Also are there other formats to save pictures in?
