I am the turquoise/glitter queen! But my sister (an Art major) brought to my attention an interesting question:

What's is the difference between turquoise and teal?

I agree. I consider teal to be a green-blue. While turquoise is a blue-green.

Teal is another blue-green, a little darker than turquoise.

Teal is darker with a bit more of a green hue to it. While turquoise is softer and has more blue in it

Teal is deeper darker in tone. turquoise is lighter

Turquoise is a bit mor edull and grey-ish, while turqoise is brighter and more vivid colored.
