Does anyone know a website that explains, with pictures, how to draw a face and body?

What I'm really asking here; is what does it take to be notice as a true artist and is it true that you don't become famous until you're dead? My medium is “Photography Manipulation” and was told by a fellow artist in my new home town, that there is no future in photography art. This has crushed me and I have stopped producing pictures and have turned back to my poetry. Which that too was knocked down stating that there’s no money in that either. So what should I do, how do I become noticed or famous in what I love to do every day?

After watching Heroes I thought I would quite like to be able to draw like Isaac's character (although obviously without the predicting the future bit)
For those who don’t watch Heroes Isaac draws/paints/sketches in a comic book / manga style.
I know that there are just some people who have a natural aptitude for it but I have never really tried to draw anything and want to get started on the basics and see if I am any good. My grandfather was a very talented artist; maybe I have some of his talent? I would just like to give it a go.
Does anyone know of any good books (or if you live in Surrey, UK do you know of any good local courses)?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am a 24 y/o stay at home mom with a dream of being a well known artist. I have a small start in painting sets and minor selling. What I want to know is how to better price my work and how to better sell my art. I do personalized peices and try to sell ones that I already have done. I don't have it in my budget to advertise, I rely on mostly word of mouth. I am not good at marketing or anything and need help! If you have any advice please tell!

I really like grafitti and I think it would be cool to get my bedroom walls done in grafitti. But I have no idea how to go about it. Does anybody know where I can get someone to come in and do it for me and about how much it would cost.

..and peddle it elsewhere for a fee. U mentioned that u can help provided u r convinced that it is not for further commercial venture, and also that u r not sure how that assurance can come through convincingly. What if I could convince you ? Reread the question you replied. It mentioned no 'monetary gain' and the environment. I have a concept I need help with that could lead to more than just commercial rewards.

I have an exhibition on the 17 March to show my stuff (www.stevebob.com) and desperately need something to put and sell in there. I'd love to sell posters but all the printer shops I go to charge a fortune to get stuff printed. I work in a shop that sells posters for £4.99 or even £3.99. In these shops, they charge two to three times that amount. I can't charge people that amount of money for a poster of a comic they've never seen before!

Can somebody help me? Does anyone have any advice? I'm so new to this whole thing and I have such short time to get this done. Please help me, I really need some solid advice!

My best friends are amazing artists, but sometimes, people can't tell what MY artwork even is! Someone even said since they couldn't tell what it was, that means it is bad!!! I really need some help becoming a better artist! Please help me! I am desperate to impress this guy I like! He treats me like nothing but if I prove I am a good artist, maybe he would treat me a little better! Please help! All I want is to be a good artist and for the love of my life to respect me more!

I am a beginning artist, who has drawn mostly in pencil. I want to branch out and start to experiment with color. Do you guys think oil or chalk is better to start for pastels? Also, are watercolors easy to work with? Please advise as to what other materials you would recommend....paints, pencils, etc. I want to get past the basics and start experimenting. Thanks for all of your help!! I am a 26 yr old wife and mom, so I don't have the time for formal classes, etc at our college in town. I just want to be good at it for a hobby and want to have the right things. Does oil pastel work on canvas? What types of media work well together? I know these are a lot of questions, but I want to be good in the worst way. I just need some experienced person to send me in the right direction. Thanks and god bless.
