I really like grafitti and I think it would be cool to get my bedroom walls done in grafitti. But I have no idea how to go about it. Does anybody know where I can get someone to come in and do it for me and about how much it would cost.

I saw this cool thing I am going to do in one of my rooms....

You can get a graffiti artist to do their work on a canvas (or a series of canvases) and then hang it on the walls like art.
If you go on ebay, you will find graffiti artist who can do this for you.

If you don't like the idea of the canvas, then use the ebay search feature where you narrow the items down by distance. Perhaps one nearby would come and do it for you.

If you live close to a college or high school, contact the art department for suggestions. My daughter is in a state university and personally knows four graffiti artists there. One of the best graffiti artists I knew was an exchange student in our high school from Spain.

Good luck...it would be so sweet!

(Cost depends on whether person is a professional or student, as well as how far he/she would travel, size of room, etc) On the low end, I'd guess $200 maybe?

Think about non-tradition graffitti (that sounds odd saying it now). Tagging with stencils can also be pretty interesting. Do a google image search for Banksy. Also, wheat pasted posters (kinseyvisual.com) can be very unique. I am a huge fan, but not often a participant of graffiti. Just try to do something different, to me, that's the spirit of it.

I think the cost would depend on how large you want the graffiti, and also how many colors and the subject......I paint murals, my costs are by the deminsions of the wall to be painted

"Taggers" are a very secretive bunch. I had occasion to need to hire one once and it was not easy to do.
Put a posting on CraigsList that you are looking for a talented Tagger to do a private interior job. Don't ask for names, allow them an opportunity for the most anonymity you can offer.
Good luck
