He's a pirate, he weilds a mace, he's fat, and has a belt buckle with an eye in it. Has a sort of diabolical look in his face also.
What should I name him?

I am trying to draw a really big picture, using graphite and charcoal. The problem is: the biggest paper I could find at the store was watercolor paper. I tried a few graphite pencils on it, and it erased kinda funny - now I'm not sure whether it is best for a charcoal/graphite medium.

The paper is Strathmore Watercolor paper. It is also 'cold press'. Can someone tell me what that means as well?

Some art teachers say that once you do a certain amount of drawings, you stop doing bad one's and start to consistently draw well. In sports they say if you practice it for 10,000 hours you will have mastered the sport. I know everyone is different, but for the majority there is a certain turning point in an activity where everyone becomes good.

So I want to know what is the general amount of time or drawings it takes to draw well.
