ummmm, no.

savants in art are as rare as savants in piano or quantum physics.

all you need to be able to draw is the ability to print legibly, the ability to see, and some hard work.

if you are talented in the area of art, you will learn quickly. if you are not you will learn more slowly. that is all. you still can learn.

a good book to read is drawing from the right side of the brain.

if you are interested in drawing, just work hard at it. join a site like www.deviantart.com and talk to other artists. it can be done. good luck!

Talent is only a tiny piece of learning to draw, but anyone can draw if they have the patience and are willing to learn.
The more I learn about art and drawing the more I realise that 'talent' is really only what type of art a person will be great at, as opposed to what they can be good at. Some people have a talent for structural drawings, they're good at technical stuff and details, but their work isn't as emotional or lively as others. Some people are really good at giving a drawing life, others are really good at giving a scene mood.
But all of these things can be taught and learned. If you want to learn how to do structural drawings, take a perspective course, or find a book on perspective.
If you want to give your scenes alot of mood study color theory, line quality
The best art is done by people who have studied all the aspects of art. They've studied perspective, anatomy, gesture, proportion, color theory, line quality, lighting. etc.
There's no one book or website that will teach you to be a fantastic renderer. It takes years of hard work to become great at it but anyone with the will to work can learn.
