I have an idea for a shirt for Harley Davidson. I have searched the world over for a shirt like this and there isn't one. I thought I would submit a proposal to the company to use my design. How do I go about it? It must be sent via mail. I guess I could mail a copy to myself in order to copyright it. But the idea itself is the best part and I don't think it can be copyrighted. They could probably use the words and design their own version don't you think?

I am trying to take pictures of a live band rehearsing in a low-light recording studio. The room is lit with red and blue colored track lighting. I get beautiful shots, but if the performers move at all, they are very blurry. I want to be able to take the pictures without a flash in order to get all of the colors of the room that the flash washes out. I know it has to do with shudder speed, but I don't know how to set it long enough to get enough exposure, but short enough to keep the musicians from blurring out.

My camera is the Canon PowerShot S5 IS

I run a small home based business where I do sketches for people. I have been giving them the originals and making copies for myself to keep as record....Should I be doing this the other way around (Giving them a copy and myself keeping the original?) Help! I don't know if legally I should just be giving them copies .... although I would assume they would want an original sketch.

What are some good ways to thin down acryllics. I want them thinner but not watery. The set was a gift and the paint is in small toothpaste looking tubes. Do I have to gesso the canvas or can I leave it plain. I know the texture will show through, and thats ok, but will it be any problems?

I know of a website that compares camera bodies, dpreview.com but do you know of one that tests lenses?

I made a movie file which required 3D modeling and animation, filming, compositing, playing and recording music, editing the video. I did it all myself. For the "job title" on my résumé, I'm not sure whether to say I was an animator or to say something that covers some of the other things I did. It was a freelance project.

Thanks!

Leon.

I should say a FREE lexmark printer. I got a refurbished Lexmark printer z515 for $20 from a legit vendor that came with a $20 rebate, so in effect I got the printer for free. It came with two ink cartridges - lexmark black 17 & lexmark color 27. I've printed out five 8x10''s and the quality is amazing. I've matched it with prints from epson r1800 and 2400 - which go for $400-$600. I can't find any specs on the inks or the cartridges, but a pro photograper said the images will fade within about two years. Is that true or was he misinformed or jealous? Any other reason why my prints are inferior if I can't detect a difference. I have 20/10 vision or vice versa whatever your vision is when you can see at 20 feet what most people see at 10 feet (but I'm not farsighted).

I am starting a small funky design agency in Athens Greece, I want to give it a short funky name but with meaning and essence. It will be a pretty eco-friendly design agency working with recycled paper and doing loads of recycling but I don't want a cheesy name! Obviously all the ones I have tried are already taken: 'Life by Design' , 'Green Designs' 'Mint' ....pretty stuck here! All suggestions welcome.

I wish to scan negatives into digital format - I don't want to have to take them to a store to do it however - mainly because I am shooting with a toy camera onto 35mm film and the image gets cropped when I take it to a shop. What sort of scanners are out there that would be suitable?

Why won't they make the D3 and the EOS 1ds Mark 3 the same size as the Nikon F6 and the EOS-1v and just include a detachable battery grip?

.... give yourself assignments? Perhaps to shoot only the color red or yellow? Perhaps to only use one lens? Perhaps to limit yourself to no more than 72 exposures in one day?

i've been looking for an older 35mm SLR because one,i'd like to have my own SLR,and two,i'd like to get away from digital.a friend of mine has a nikon n2020 (or F501 depending where you live) and i've worked with that and liked it,but want something differnt, maybe from the same era.i've looked at minolta x-700's,maxxum 7000's and 9000's,and i liked the x-700 (i prefer the metal body by far,i hated the maxxus plastic body and buttons...i like dials...).i've considered olympus' OM system, which i also thought were nice.i've also looked at the leicaflex.i'd like something that as i develop and find the need to do more, the camera can do it.autofocus would be a nice feature,as long as it's a setting i can change and still focus manually.but it's not a necessity.oh,and the n2020/F501 has this thing i liked that i'm not sure what it was called, you looked through the viewfinder, and as you focused arrows told you which way to focus for what was centered and when it was focused it turned green.
