I recently came a across an old roll of 35mm film which I believe is exposed but was never developed. I think it's about 12 years old; probably just some pictures of friends partying in highschool or something like that. It has been sitting in a lot of different places over the years but most recently I found it in the centre console of my car where it has likely been for at least a year. Where I live it gets very hot and humid in the summer and very cold in the winter so I figure temperature damage is likely since it's been in the car. It's not in a case, just the roll itself. It's Kodak Gold Plus 100, 36 exposures. What are the odds that anything on this roll is salvagable? Thanks!

I'm 24 and have a budding interest in photography. Right now I have to use the equipment I have. Anyway, I have looked online at professional photographers work (often they are younger than me) and I notice the color pops out a little to much or everything looks just a little to clean. I compared these images to some books I own such as the Photobook and The World's Best Photography: Photojournalism and didn't see any work that came off like so many images I've looked at online. Basically, the color is just to perfect (almost to a level that seems animated) when compared to legitimate professional photographers. I personally would like to learn to use equipment the right way and not rely on photoshop to make my images presentable. Am I just late and wanting to join a dying breed?

I've talked to someone who used lulu.com and they said it was difficult even for them (they're very technical). I've had several suggestions on other sites, but they seem to specialize in serial stories, not panel cartoons.

I've been looking at Drunkduck.com which is fairly new, but their information makes it sound as if ALL posted art is their property once it gets posted to their site, not sole property of the artist who created it. I've been waiting to get an answer back on that before uploading anything over there.

I've got panel cartoons (such as the ones in the weekday comic strips--horizontal with 3 or 4 panels per strip). I've been looking for a site to host them that doesn't have difficulty working with my home computer system.

Anyone using any that they're very happy with? Any suggestions? My stuff's in black and white, no color.

i'm considering the purchase of an art nouveau jewelry item. both the chain & repoussé pendant are unmarked but are said to "test positive for sterling". three questions:
• does silverplate test positive for sterling?
• was silverplating being done during the art nouveau era?
• it is possible for a item from the art nouveau period to be not marked silver even though it truly is?

thanks for any informed answers!

Trying to determine whether a small framed etching I have is worth anything. Is there any way to find out online relatively cheaply? I just want to know whether I can sell it for $50 or a few hundred. I'm located in Portland, OR. Thanks!

I am a pretty good artist, but I find it hard to come up with things to paint or draw. Any artist photo references online that I can use? Because, I do not have a camera, and I don't have the money to buy one just yet.

Could anyone tell me what sort of emotions Van Gogh was feeling when he painted this? Would you say he looks depressed? What does this painting say about the artist and how he was feeling when he painted it?

Thanks. x

I printed a couple of 8x10 digital prints with an ink jet printer that created a thick ink layer. I didn't realize they'd take three hours to dry. I picked them up with my bare hands and got fingerprints on them before they were complete dry. Is there a way to clean them?
